See this movie. Debbie Schlussel calls it The Year's GREAT movie. It will make you feel proud to be an American and give one an appreciation of the sacrifices our servicemen and women make in any era to keep us safe and free.

I was wondering about this movie last night when I first heard about it. Found this line from a review:
The script is not a bit afraid of offending Hollywood's largest overseas film market by portraying Japan's WWII soldiers as homicidal brutes. This is refreshing at first, but after a dozen or so atrocities you begin to feel you've wandered into an old propaganda film.
Yes, we all know how nice the Japanese were in WWII. I'm guessing Medved will do a review today. I'll wait to see what he says.

I was cruising CNN.com, and their Entertainment Weekly reviews panned it and gave it a D+...while giving an A- to a documentary about some idiot who lived with grizzly bears and then got eaten by one. Therefore, this must mean that The Great Raid is an awesome movie, due to the low grade EW gave it.
By way of comparison, Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo got a C+.

If Debbie Schlussel approves of it, I know it's a must-see! I predict it'll end up as a big hit.

Overall, the critics don't like this movie. I wonder why. (sarcasm)

One guess: the liberal critics loathe our military and don't like ANY film that portrays it - and Christianity - in a positive light.

Sorry, I'm kind of sick of WWII movies. We need more revolutionary war films (as long as they are nothing like "Revolution" with Al Pacino).
