It doesn't follow that Hillary is bound by promise or oath to fulfill a six-year Senate term in lieu of a run for the Presidency.

Remember Mrs. Clintons Senate race. She SWORE up and down she wasn't a carpetbagger using NY to get to the presidency. She said all she wanted was to serve the people of NY.
If she tries to step out now, a lot of people will know she lied.
I'm from NY. I heard her squeal her crap day after day until she took her seat. All she lived for was the Yankees, NY, and her love for the state. She was not the least bit interested in leaving it - ever. Why, it was her REAL home.
She went so overboard to PROVE she wasn't just a carpetbagger using NY to get to the White house, it's "seared, seared" in the memory of every NY'er by now!

You wrote, "Remember Mrs. Clintons Senate race. She SWORE up and down she wasn't a carpetbagger using NY to get to the presidency. She said all she wanted was to serve the people of NY."

Not from New York, I wondered at the time how implausible it would've been for Hillary to come to my home state, Indiana, declare herself a Hoosier, begin talking knowledgeably about fishing, farming, and high school basketball, and run for Senator. She would've been laughed off the platform. New York, on the other hand--specifically New York liberal elites--knew her Senate run was simply a way to post an elective office on her resume while she readied herself for a run at the Presidency. As I recall, Hillary's opponent (whose name escapes me), along with prominent conservatives, both statewide and nationally, were leveling 'carpetbagger' charges against her throughout that Senate race, with justification. It did not matter then, and it does not matter now. If Pirro uses the same strategy as Hillary's previous (badly beaten) opponent, she (Pirro) will achieve the same results. It isn't a bad thing to highlight the cynicism at work here, but making it a centerpiece of a major campaign is asking for disaster.

Hillary has a record: her inept leadership displayed in masterminding and promoting the national health care plan during her husband's administration, her blatantly obvious 'repositioning' on hot-button issues like national defense and abortion, her reputation for backstabbing ruthlessness... There is plenty of kindling lying around, but conservatives--for whatever reason--can't seem to light the match.

While Hillary will not likely be taken out of the Senate, we can hope that Pirro comes within 10 points. That would derail her faster than Carville could spin it.

Hillary has been a good Senator. I am serious. Look at her voting record in the Senate.

Hillary's opponent (whose name escapes me),

Yes, and allot of NYers didn't know his name, either. It was Rick Lazio. Guliani (who would have easily creamed her) dropped out, and a young unknown Lazio stepped in. Considering most people didn't even know his name, he really did very well against a well known liberal in NY!

Now add that to Mrs. Clinton scamming the people of NY, her record of doing nothing but hanging out in the NY lesbian camp, and the thought that the rapist will become the fist metro-sexual lady in the White House, and it may not go as smoothly as the last election.

Mrs. Clinton is unclean. She's covered in dirt.

Which time? (Sorry, but it had to be asked).

I think offense needs to be played against MS. Clinton.

Why not throw the recent information about 9-11, her husband, and the "WALL" at her?
Also, why not keep bringing up how her adulterating husband let Bin Laden go several times "AFTER" Bin Laden declared war on the USA?

Throw it and watch her panic IMO.
This must keep being thrown at her.

Not a shaky basis at all if you understand the context.

New Yorkers do not know Pirro. They know Hillary Clinton. For Pirro's numbers to move up in a day when they don't know her wouldn't make sense.

What it highlights is that H.C. doesn't have automatic re-election numbers in the '60's as purported before. The drop shows that given knowledge they'll have a choice in the race, that a significant number withdrew the automatic support they gave when it looked like a race of one. As a Known commodity Hillary's numbers shouldn't have changed this dramatically in one day against an unknown commodity. During the coarse of the campaign as both candidates are known commodities, then it is natural for numbers to tighten and wouldn't necessarily mean trouble for Clinton.

Yes, a couple of others announced intentions to run such as Cox but they were never going to go anywhere in this race.

If Hillary's numbers are down to barely in the '50's against an unknown this soon? That means Pirro has an incredible opportunity to tighten this race below a majority number. The Clinton's know it, this is why they are throwing everything they have at Pirro the last couple of days while the other announced challengers barely ranked any notice.

How is it that Pirro's numbers didn't move upwards at all? What is the deal with the 14% who stopped idolizing Hitlery? Voting Undecided?

Pirro Leads Clinton in Online Poll
Newsmax.com, August 11, 2005

Westchester County District Attorney Jeanine Pirro was leading Sen. Hillary Clinton in an online poll Thursday night conducted by the most listened-to radio station in New York, 1010 WINS.

With over 3,000 New Yorkers responding, Pirro led Clinton by six-tenths of a point, 50.30 percent to 49.70 percent.

Though the WINS survey is unscientific, it continues a trend that began this week after Pirro announced she intended to challenge Mrs. Clinton. A Marist College poll released on Wednesday showed Clinton defeating Pirro, 50 percent to 28 percent. But while Pirro's number hadn't budged from an earlier survey in April, Clinton's support plummeted by 14 points.

Great analysis!

I think the key to success for Jeanine, is what Rick Lazio and his advisors failed to do, namely bring about a situation (forum)that does not allow Hillary to escape from having to prove this so-called "brilliance". This charlatan's career has been built on deception and blackmail alone. The pathetic sycophants under her spell have always been able to keep her from answering even one question that might expose the myth. They set up every press conference and debate accordingly, to avoid her having to commit to even one, single position that would bring honest scrutiny.

Truth-- this woman lacks the ability to run even so much as a yard sale, let alone this country.

There IS no brilliance, no intellect, no great vision, etc, only the skill of being able to prove P.T. Barnum's famous quote.

Go, Jeanine Pirro!!

All this shows is that there are some people who who like a change. Yes 14% is a lot but Pirro hasn't move an inch, not one point. So I think it says the right candidate might be able to hurt clinocchio, but not beat hurt. If the beast is in ANY trouble at all, the whole rat establishment will pour billions into the race. This is a rat saint we're talking about here after all.

When I first heard about her and saw her I thought, "She's an attractive, articulate and seemingly intelligent woman. This is great." But I had the feeling that I'd seen her before. Then, after reading more about her, realized that I'd seen her on Fox News giving her legal views during the Scott Peterson trial. Go Pirro!!

but at least with Pirro we have someone who has the chutzpah to put her promises in her face all the time and who will not back down from her.

I really look forward to a debate between H*****y and Pirro. Unfortunately, I don't think it will ever happen. Pirro will clean her crusty clock, and she can't affort that risk. Wonder what her excuse will be?
