Cindy Sheehan Indicates to MSNBC That She Would Rather the President Not Meet With Her.
8/11/05

Posted on 08/11/2005 8:00:43 PM PDT by ArmyBratproud

On MSNBC'S Countdown, tonight, Cindy Sheehan pretty much confirmed the view that she was only staging her Crawford act for a publicity stunt.

It would be of no shock to anyone that the liberal host of Countdown floated the idea to Ms.Sheehan that, if her intention was to protest the war and President Bush, then it would be better if she and the President did not meet. Obviously, what the liberal host had in mind was the idea of keeping the story alive.

And it was at that point, that Cindy Sheehan showed her real intentions. She agreed, indicating that she would prefer the President not meet with her, so she could keep the "momentum" going for her protest in Crawford. And she said it with an excited grin.

Sheehan has now confirmed what many others already knew, that her protest has nothing to do with her son, and everything to do with her left wing politics. It is just another publicity stunt for the left wing souls.

And it is sad.

From Useful Idiot to just Idiot. Her next step in the agenda she herself is advocating pegs her as a Useless Eater. Always, in the Final Solution, elitist Commies eat their own downtrodden....

True, BB. Very true.

The woman is too dangerous to be brought into the President's presence.

I am now beginning to believe that as well. She's totally lost her mind.

For the record, GWB already met with this person about a month after her son was KIA.

Sooooooo lets not muddy the water here.

This woman had no problem after she met with Bush in fact she complimented the man after meeting with him.

And it's just too damn bad that the media including O'Reilly and FOX couldn't invite some of the more than 3600 other parents who have lost a son or daughter who I am sure are verrrrrry proud of their child who paid the ultimate price for freedom.
Point, Game, Set, Match!

What a sham! Think she will feel any shame? We all feel sorrow for the loss of her son but she has made it a sham!

> I think Bush should meet with her and ...

Nah. She's already had a meeting with him once, and
put out two different stories about it. Either she
was lying then, or she's lying now.

Why would anyone want to meet with someone like that?

If you meet privately, they'll lie about it again.
If you meet publically, they'll grandstand at your expense.

Is the Pro Troops/Pro Bush rally still being held in Crawford this Saturday? If so I may just go! I dont live but about 150 miles from there. Would love to see a big crowd there enjoying themselves. I think it would make Dubya feel better too!

Three year olds do this kind of thing. They manipulate and throw tantrums, changing their minds depending on the situation. Logic and continuity don't enter into equation.

Or maybe she's just mentally ill.

In the first place, why does anyone watch MSNBC's Countdown with that jerk Keith Olberman?

From Tonight's Drudge Report (8/11/05):

FAMILY OF FALLEN SOLDIER PLEADS: PLEASE STOP, CINDY!
Thu Aug 11 2005 12:56:21 ET

The family of American soldier Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004, has broken its silence and spoken out against his mother Cindy Sheehan's anti-war vigil against George Bush held outside the president's Crawford, Texas ranch.

The following email was received by the DRUDGE REPORT from Casey's aunt and godmother:

Our family has been so distressed by the recent activities of Cindy we are breaking our silence and we have collectively written a statement for release. Feel free to distribute it as you wish.

Thanks, Cherie

In response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue: Sheehan Family Statement:

The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.

Sincerely,

Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Developing...

Now the dems are beating the drums to 'Bring the troops home', 'We shouldn't be there', etc.. Not long ago, they were shouting that we didn't have enough troops there. Uh, I'm confused.

It looks as if it's raining in Crawford. Let's hope the rain keeps up for a few more days. Thunder and lightning would make Cindy's campout interesting, too.
