14:43 DJ NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--The FBI in Los Angeles has issued an advisory,
warning
it has information that al-Qaida could try to use trucks to ram gas tankers,
Cable News Network reported Thursday.
The advisory said such an attack could happen in New York, Los Angeles or
Chicago between now and Sept. 19, CNN reported.
A Department of Homeland Security official told the network the
information is
being evaluated, but the source is of questionable reliability.
Another source told CNN the information isn't very credible.
The FBI advisory was sent to law enforcement agencies Wednesday, according
to
CNN.

Thanks for the ping on this Cindy.

There was a fuel tanker wreck on the 710 out of Long Beach a few days ago. Although, if they want to hijack these trucks it would be easy. I mean it's not as though they don't have to stop anywhere. You see them all the time unloading fuel at your corner gas station. I don't believe the part about ramming them with another truck. That isn't aq MO. They want a lot more bang for their buck than that.

I still DO believe malls and transit systems are vulnerable.

Fox reports this info comes from a single source of questionable reliability.

Why always NY, LA, Chicago etc. Are they just throwing that out there and planning against other cities?
