He will go down as the most failed President in 20th Century American History.

Naw. Carter's already got that one. Hands down.

The dollar has been dropping hard the last week also. I wonder how the stock market has been doing?

The wall is down? The adults are in DC? Only partly and partly. A bureaucracy is still a bureaucracy. It is the fundamental nature of a bureau -- either furniture or human organization -- to have all drawers closed most of the time.

In DC expecially -- DC is a land of cul de sacs. Dead ends, but each every important in its own mind -- after all it is a privilege to live or work at the end of a cul de sac, and so avoid all the traffic and hub-bub.

Maybe the market is a little tight for 'employees' who want to extinguish themselves in the firey inferno of a tanker truck. Maybe they need to improve their 'benefits' program and up the ante another couple of virgins (still have that mother-in-law problem, however)

Maybe they will have to outsource.

What type of people did the FBI say we should be looking out for? 70 year old Mormon grandmothers?

70 year old Mormon grandmothers?

The Quakers.  Who knows what they are hiding under those hats.  And this whole "oats" thing is a vast conspiracy.

""They have the will to destroy us, but lack the means. We have the means to destroy them, but lack the will. It is a race to see who gets what first." -- B. Netanyahu

That's abnout it.

I wish Israel had re-elected him, I fear they will be in such a mess after giving up so much land. I always remember Netanyahu saying the Golan Heights was so strategic because they could shoot at Israel from there.

Thanks for the ping on this Cindy.

There was a fuel tanker wreck on the 710 out of Long Beach a few days ago. Although, if they want to hijack these trucks it would be easy. I mean it's not as though they don't have to stop anywhere. You see them all the time unloading fuel at your corner gas station. I don't believe the part about ramming them with another truck. That isn't aq MO. They want a lot more bang for their buck than that.

I still DO believe malls and transit systems are vulnerable.

Fox reports this info comes from a single source of questionable reliability.

Why always NY, LA, Chicago etc. Are they just throwing that out there and planning against other cities?

What's stupid is they are going after the cities who would rather placate and help them! LOL Talk about irony! They want to take out big cities in the blue states!

I wouldn't be surprised if the NY/LA/Chicago chatter is a diversion. Seems to me that when we get reports of a lot of chatter, nothing happens. And vice-versa.

Two dead, 44 injured as gas tanker hits train

Aug 12 2005

At least two people died and 44 were injured when a tanker carrying liquid propane gas struck the side of a freight train near Mexico's border with the US.

The resulting explosions yesterday reduced cement homes near the tracks in the town of Lucio Blanco to little more than piles of charred rubble, and corrugated metal roofing collapsed into some of the structures.

"It was like an earthquake," said Jorge Batres, who described the crash site as looking like a battlefield.

"All is destroyed."

Orlando Garcia, director of Matamoros' emergency services, said the driver of the truck and the train's engineer died.

It took several hours to pull all the survivors to freedom. Garcia said the worst of the injured were taken to hospitals in Monterrey, and others were taken to hospitals in Matamoros and across the border to Harlingen, Texas.

Water trucks lined up to ferry water from a hydrant near the Los Indios International Bridge, about four miles from the accident site.

Teresa Guerrero said her sister, Nancy, was working at a nearby gas station when a fireball erupted. Her sister tried to flee, but she was burned on her arms, feet, back and hair.

Mexican rescue worker Carlos Mireles said the injured included residents in the area and people from passing vehicles.

Tom Hushen, emergency management co-ordinator for Cameron County, Texas, said the collision occurred near the middle of the train. He said he did not know how many carriages left the track.

A nursing supervisor at Harlingen, Texas, Medical Centre said a 27-year-old woman from San Benito, Texas, and her baby daughter were in a stable condition.

The supervisor said the woman and four-month-old girl were across the street from the railway tracks when the accident happened.

Britain has grounded all outgoing flights from Heathrow this afternoon (it's now afternoon in London). Don't know if it's related.
