Timing. Consider her protest, the 180-degree switch on President Bush, sounding identical to Michael Moore, etc., and what do you see? The information that has come out about how Clinton's administration dropped the ball on terrorism is a bombshell, so they get us with manufactured lower war support and a "sympathetic" mother and the left obfuscates the entire issue. Amazing how these events happened near the same time, isn't it? There's no such thing as coincidence. Then again, I could be high.

If I was this mom's son, I would have tried to enlist at age 12.

It is probably the best way Cindy can punish Casey for enlisting, re-enlisting, and sacrificing his life for the USA. It must drive Cindy nuts. Actually, by the looks of it, it has.

The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect. Sincerely,
Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Glad to see you feeling better.
However, this one is a bit too cute to be conspiracy.
You never know when a nut will fall from the tree, and this one just happened to coincide with the granting of enough left-wing cash to fund her sitting in the mud in Crawford for awhile.
What amazes me, is that these folks never seem to learn from Bush that he does not back down or give in. I'm sure her 'handlers' convinced her that she was going to be standing next to Bush in just a few hours of mud-sittin'.
Now she's getting rained on, and the exposure has allowed us to point out to the world that she's a nutjob, whose husband AND son ran away from her.

This is a highly unusual first, widespread bashing of the mother of a solider killed in action. See ya. We hardly knew ya.

This is a highly unusual first, widespread bashing of the mother of a solider killed in action. You're from the future (8-12-2005)? My calendar says that today is the 11th. Damn, this stuff really is powerful!

I've noticed that if you look at Cindy Sheehan from the right angles, she looks like Barbra Streisand... big nose and everything.
To: rdb3
NBC just did an in-depth stroy on this woman; filled with facts...
Except for the fact part
Totally ignored her Leftist past
Totally ignored the statements by her family
Totally ignored her flip-flops (who does that remind us of?) regarding her meeting with President Bush
Total left slime piece
They just don't get it...
To: rdb3
This is also one more crystal clear illustration of how low the progressive-leftists will go. Any lower and they (including their minions in the USA) will be resorting to arms ... Hardly. The only thing that keeps them viable is restricting themselves to 'zero-attrition' tactics.
They aren't stupid.
By all accounts, Benedict Arnold had legitimate grievances too. Until we recognize treason, regardless of its motivation, they will operate with impunity.

I think you hit the nail on the head. It is becoming clear to me that what Cindy hates most, is herself. Not only does she feel responsible for not being able to stop her son from enlisting...but if she's held these same attitudes (being from Berkeley) her entire life, she may have helped push her son to the career he chose.
Children are often rebellious; and it wouldn't come as a surprise to me if this was Casey's way of showing his independence from his obviously opinionated mother. Only Cindy knows the truth; but if there is any truth in this, her outrage is about what she did...not Bush or anybody else.

Guess we'll be seeing the Sheehan family on that intervention show.
To: Thom Pain
I saw that. Total trash. Basically portraying her as a poor woman who the President refuses to meet with - and that he should have plenty of time since he is on a "Five week vacation."
