Ol' Vinnie's a bit of a character. He takes his softball a bit too seriously.

This reminds me of the time WSB reporters Mark Winne and
Ron Sailor got into a fist fight over who would use the Channel 2
Action News Helicopter! I'll laugh about that on my deathbed!
Oh, the humanity!

There's no parachutes yet. Can't be skydivers... I can't tell just yet what they are, but...Oh my God, they're turkeys!! Johnny, can you get this? Oh, they're plunging to the earth right in front of our eyes! One just went through the windshield of a parked car! Johnny, this is terrible . . . Oh, the humanity! The turkeys are hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement! . . . Not since the Hindenberg tragedy has there been anything like this! I don't know how much longer I can hold my position here, Johnny....>click<
Les? Les? Are you there?

I was at the fire in New Berlin yesterday. Vinnie got stuck with the assignment. If I had known about this I would have ribbed him. As it was it was kind of funny watching him try and avoid reporting on the cats the firefighters were retrieving for the young women who lived in the affected building.

Yes, Baily was the silent beauty of the show, kinda like Mary Ann on Gilligan's Island.
