Thank you for your post.

I have taught English as a second language to Spanish speaking students, so I can appreciate how difficult English is. English is a very difficult language to learn…if it really can be completely learned with all its innuendoes.

A Latin or Greek based language, for me, would be easier to learn from scratch.

I've always done the same. I've gone as far as to point ou that our preferred pronunciation is the alternative pronunciation in most unabridged dictionaries.

Raised in North NJ, which is considered a linguisticly unique area of the country. Where do you hail from?
