What? That is absurd. People actually taking responsibility for their own actions -- why, HOW UN-LIBERAL OF YOU !!!!
I do a low carb thing at McDonals - - chicken sandwich, or burger, without the bun.
I am shocked. SHOCKED to find gambling in this establishment.
I eat Subway once or twice a week. Foot-long Oven Roasted Chicken on Wheat with Double Meat, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, oregano and pepper spread. No cheese or mayo. Great bodybuilding food.
Question:
When did Spurlock say, imply, insinuate, suggest or hint that the government should intervene or that people were not responsible for their own actions? I saw the movie, and what I would have gotten out of it is:
It is irresponsible to eat the items at McDonalds that most people actually eat on a regular basis.
If you eat McDonalds fries, burgers, McNuggets, etc. on a regular basis, as many people do, that is not responsible behavior. If you feed it to your children on a regular basis, that is not responsible behavior. You are free to do it. You are also free to smoke three packs of cigarettes a day, sit on the couch all the time, or drink twelve cans of beer a night. But if you do, you are harming your health. From what I saw, that was all that Spurlock was pointing out. If you wouldn't regularly eat that garbage due to its health effects, you already agree with Spurlock. It's not a particularly revolutionary idea, IMHO. Spurlock might as well have made a movie that said "If you eat Twinkies all day, your health will deteriorate."
Of course, Spurlock ever said, implied, insinuated, suggested or hinted that the government should intervene or that people were not responsible for their own actions, I take it all back.
