I saw that, too. But we need to know if this was the DOD's lawyers, the admin's WH lawyers, a combination, whatever. Somehow I think the decision to give Atta a pass went higher up the food chain than the DOD. That would fit a pattern that's forming. A very nasty pattern.

Excellent take.
The moment I saw this it had Bubbas handprints all over it. Probably implemented by his minions. Docs shoved in pants, Jamie Gorelick laying bricks, the usual crowd doing his dirty work. The question is will they all slide one more time, I hope not.

“I personally talked with [Philip] Zelikow [executive director of the 9/11 Commission] about this,” recalled the intelligence officer. “For whatever bizarre reasons, he didn’t pass on the information.”

Who is this guy Zelikow? I've read a couple of bios, seems to be a policy wonk and Republican. Anybody?

Say what you want about Savage, he IS THE ONLY ONE, who discusses the real danagers to our country and the enemy within.

Although I love Rush, its getting sooooooooo boring, Bush is good RATS are bad, over and over and over and over. Hannity is even worse.

I heard about this the other day on TalkRadio. Very scary. Political correctness run amuck.

The 911 commission found "THERE WAS NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE"

How long before we hear "Attornay Client Priveledge." Wonder if this sheds any light on what Sandy Burlgar was stuffing in his drawers?

Pathetic to hate your country so much that you wish it harm.

I would be really, really careful about getting too enamored of this "story". What was a DOD unit doing running a DOMESTIC intelligence operation? There are a lot of questions that need to be answered about this "Story" Something doesn't smell right here.

I thought Gorelick and Raines were in trouble at Fannie Mae for their BIG FAT BONUSES and phony auditing!!

They are. Indictments are likely. Gorelick was EVP and General Counsel at Fannie Mae when it violated about 100 accounting rules in order to prop up its share price and trigger huge bonuses to all the executives. Gorelick got almost a million dollars in bonus for 1998. The Clintons set her up in this cushy and lucrative job after she carried their water for 6 years at DoD and DOJ. She knew nothing about housing or mortgages yet suddenly ended up as the #3 executive at Fannie Mae. Fannie Mae was a Democrat slush fund operation for years, first under CEO Jim Johnson (Walter Mondale's campaign manager) and then under Frank Raines (Clinton's first budget director.) It's all going to come out when the DOJ finishes its investigations. Many Democrats in Washington are extremely nervous about it.
