SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - A complaint was issued today on an admitted Mexican gang member, convicted child sex offender and six-time deportee who was arrested last week by Cedar County Sheriff's Department a day after a high-speed chase with Missouri Highway patrol, and ultimately turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Roberto Madrigal-Lopez, 33, and his passenger fled to nearby woods following the Aug. 2 wreck of their vehicle during the high-speed chase. Upon his Aug. 3 arrest, Madrigal-Lopez originally claimed to be Carlos Lopez-Garcia. However, expedited fingerprint checks confirmed his true identity, and his extensive criminal conviction history, which includes:
In addition, Madrigal-Lopez has been deported from the U.S. on: October 1993, March 1995, April 1997, June 1997, November 2000 and March 2005. Re-entering the United States after being formally deported is a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
"Madrigal-Lopez has continually demonstrated that he doesn't belong in this country,” said Elissa Brown, special agent-in-charge of the ICE Chicago office. “With his extensive criminal activity, we'll work with the U.S. Attorney's Office to keep him off U.S. streets.” Brown heads the ICE Office of Investigations which includes a six-state area of: Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky and Wisconsin.
Madrigal-Lopez, who is heavily tattooed, is also an admitted member of the Mexican gang: the Border Brothers. He is now in ICE custody being held without bond.
The U.S. Attorney's Office, Western District of Missouri in Springfield, has accepted the case for prosecution.
Madrigal-Lopez was arrested by the Cedar County Missouri Sheriff's Department on Aug. 5 on charges of Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Resisting Arrest and multiple traffic violations

I'd like to see a pair of 20ft high steel reinforced concrete razor wire topped fences 300 yds apart with vicious guard dogs and/or armed patrols between and coils of razor on the US side of both the wall bases.
Cedar County is the county I live in here in Missouri.
Here's the story according to the local county newspaper today (I am condensing it down and transcribing it here because as far as I know our county paper is not online): On Aug. 2nd, these 2 illegals were being pursued by Missouri state troopers in Vernon County because they refused to be pulled over. The illegals then entered Cedar County and were attempted to be stopped by a county sheriff's deputy at the intersection of Highways 32 and CC. East of Cedar Creek on Highway 32, the illegals wrecked the car and ran off. The sheriff's deputies searched throughout the night but didn't find them until the following morning when a citizen spotted them and called the sheriff's department. They were caught around the intersection of Highways 32 and CC, where they were heading back toward Vernon County on foot.
Of note, the local paper buried this story on page 12 of the main section of the paper, far behind the more "important news", such as the drought we're experiencing around here, the raft race set for Saturday at Stockton Lake, the Community Theatre's notice about playing "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" and an article on how to keep fit and avoid the "freshman 15". Sometimes, I think everyone in this county but me is asleep....

Presidente Bush--way past time to get Homeland Security Chief Chertoff and your LaRaza buddy Atty. Gen. Al Gonzales to take a look at the border situation. If you're not willing to do that, how about outsourcing the job to someone who can get it done: the Minutemen (you know, those guys you reportedly called vigilantes).

With all the technological advances, I wish they would come up with a spray or implant that would cause those illegally in this country to glow in the dark or set of signals that could be traced.
I have a friend that works in "corrections".
He said that white collar criminals are looked down upon not rapists and child molesters. Especially by the Mexican inmates.
Why hasn't he been 'shot trying to escape'?
There ought to be solutions to his kind of problem.

Shows how little respect the White House really has for the voters. They think by hanging a small fine and some weak requirements language (that will be ignored) on the guestworker proposal, they can say it's "not an amnesty". It isn't going to slither by, however, because we're going to continue watching it like hawks tracking a mouse.
If even a slight odor of amnesty is detected, that will be more than sufficient reason to kill it altogether.

Actually the re-entry after deportation should have a mandatory long prison sentence....we need some deterrents!

Well there's only been fingerprint and photographic technology for over 100 years and with newer technologies we should be able to nail it on the spot. In my last post I was bitchin' about the govt sitting on its butt and not doing their jobs, this underscores it. They've got the damn law and tools and aren't using them.
