It's a Parody People!! (Rush's Parodies of Liberal Ads)
Rush Limbaugh ^ | 8/10/2005 | Pyro7480

Posted on 08/10/2005 12:59:48 PM PDT by Pyro7480

On Sean Hannity's show, a caller told Hannity about an ad that ran that was "financed by George Soros and NARAL Friends of Nancy Peolosi." Hannity said he would look into it.

In reality, it's the latest in a series of ads Rush has been running, narrated by the "announcer" on Rush's show, Johnny Donovan. A number of callers on Rush's show were fooled by the ads, and called him, complaining about them, as if they were real ads. On two different occasions, Rush stated that they were clearly parodies.

Funny stuff - kinda like when people get fired up about a satire piece on FR.

Remember Gilda Radner on SNL? "What's all this I hear about "busting schoolchildren', or 'violin's on TV'.

"...John Roberts not only supported an abortion clinic bomber, he DROVE him to the clinic... in fact, he used his cell phone to trigger the bomb just like the terrorists in Iraq.... Stop John Roberts from getting into the Supreme Court before he kills agaaaaiin"..."Brought to you by George Soros and the Naral friends of Barbara Boxer" What a freakin hoot. I can't believe anyone thought this was real.

those ads crack me up...I can't believe that people actually think that they are real.

heard a woman call Rush last week about the ad and he played along and just heard the call to Hannity...the callers who fall for the ads are almost as funny as the ads!

John Roberts is a CATHOLIC (catholic) just like THE POPE (the pope) who is from GERMANY (germany)...

Those parody ads are hysterical.

John Roberts is a CATHOLIC (catholic) just like THE POPE (the pope) who is from GERMANY (germany)..

I think this all goes back to when Ronaldus Maximus was 1st running for Calif. Gov. against Jerry Browns dad. Brown ran an ad where he was talking to schoolchildren and sdaid something to the effect that his opponent was an actor, then he asked the kids, "Do you know who shot Abraham Lincoln? It was an actor."

I wish I had a quarter for every time that I had to qualify my comments HERE at FreeRepublic with an "< /s >" becuase someone didn't comprehend the sarcasm.

For that matter, what about 'Writer33' (is that his User-Name?) that puts out 'sarcastic, humorous, ironical' essays from time to time, and always gets some FReepers believing he's actually being serious.
