"She is right at home with the folks she is hanging out with now, it seems."
She may have regrets later on LucyJo
The secret is that we will post what they will not. ;)
Eric Boehlert is an intellectually dishonest boob.
Eric, my questions don't revolve around her nonexistent flip-flop on supporting the war. It's fairly obvious to me that she never really supported the war. Had you been honest with your reader, you would have noted that I highlighted three paragraphs in the article specific to Cindy Sheehan's non support of and misgivings about, the war.
Eric, my questions for Cindy Sheehan are in relation to her very obvious contradicting memories of the president's sincerity and demeanor at the meeting. And had you been honest with your reader, you would have noted that as well.
In her first recounting of that meeting, in The Reporter article of June 24, 2004, Sheehan's now estranged husband said, "We have a lot of respect for the office of the president, and I have a new respect for him because he was sincere and he didn't have to take the time to meet with us." Sheehan herself said, "I now know he's sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis," and, "I know he's sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he's a man of faith."
And Eric Boehlert's intellectual dishonesty continues with regard to his accusations that, "Right-wing bloggers are attacking military mom Cindy Sheehan for changing her mind about Iraq."
No we're not, Eric. Be honest with your reader. We are challenging Cindy Sheehan's current depiction of her meeting with the president.
Boehlert wrote, Over the weekend conservatives at the Free Republic unearthed a June 25, 2004, article from Sheehan's hometown newspaper, the Reporter, which detailed Sheehan's visit with Bush at Fort Lewis near Seattle earlier that month. Portions of the article suggested Sheehan was grateful for her time with Bush, in contrast with her current complaints about him. Freepers then passed along the clip to Matt Drudge, who talked about it on his Sunday-night syndicated radio show.
No, Eric. We passed along the link to the FR thread, which contained the entire article from the Vacaville Reporter.
Then Boehlert writes this, "On Monday morning he hyped his analysis on his Web site, concluding that Sheehan "has dramatically changed her account about what happened when she met the commander-in-chief last summer!"
Hello!? And you think this quote from Drudge confirms your accusation that we are attacking Sheehan for flip-flopping on supporting the war?!
No Eric. That quote from Drudge means exactly what he wrote. When any intellectually honest person reads that old article, in its entirety, and compares it to Sheehan's new spin on her meeting with the president, he would conclude "Sheehan has dramatically changed her account about what happened when she met the commander-in-chief last summer."
In conclusion, Eric, I will leave you with the comments I posted when I wrote the Free Republic thread that caused your panties to draw into and bunch up in your hinterbacke, and which apparently led to you resorting to deliberate misrepresentation of the facts.
Here is what I said, in my comments regarding the article I had just posted:
Sheehan says that, at her meeting with the president, she was still in shock after her son's death; but now she says, after all the reports that Saddam didn't have WMDs, she is angry that her son died "needlessly."
This spin still doesn't answer her wildly differing accounts of the president's demeanor and sincerity during that meeting.
Additionally, her spin today of "I was still grieving" is not really backed up by her comment in the article above (in bold) that she witheld "venting her frustrations" then, instead "deferring to how they believed Casey would have wanted them to act."
funny ..../s..........the link brings you to an empty page.....heh-heh......
gold star.
Brave young men have been dying in battle for thousands of years. Only in the new world of Oprah would mothers require "counseling". Give me a break.
That pretty much puts it out there.
Unlike Supreme Court Justice nominee Judge Roberts, you can correct the record on LIBERAL spinning of facts [lying].
Bump!
Excellent.
Too bad it wasn't posted earlier in the thread.
Bump!
Protest by a grieving mother gains momentum - Cindy Sheehan*** .Although surprised at the attention she has garnered, Sheehan has developed media savvy with assistance from the national public relations firm Fenton Communications, which has also worked with MoveOn.org, the liberal group that campaigned against Bush last year.
And after saying she would camp out every night in her tent, Sheehan made an exception Monday when she stayed in a bed-and-breakfast to prepare for an interview the next morning with ABC News.
Some who have joined Sheehan say they made impulsive decisions to come here after learning about her protest on Web sites and other media.
Matt Rosine, 29, a minister at the First Colony Christian Church in Sugar Land, said since he had the day off Wednesday he decided to jump in his car and drive to Crawford.
"I wanted to meet her (Sheehan) and say 'way to go,' " he said.

A good book to check out:
Malignant Self Love - Narcissism Revisited by Sam Vaknin
Maybe if she wasn't so tight with anti-americans....we wouldn't condemn her so much"
I would. She is making her name off the flesh of her dead son. The lying monstrous bitch makes me want to puke.
On a side note...I was born in 1969 but found out later that my mother had been a Vietnam War protester. I was pretty upset about it (this was during the Reagan years) as I was developing into a feisty young conservative. Then I realized who she married. My step-dad was a 2 tour Vietnam Veteran, tough as nails and conservative as they come. Protester marries a Vet. Hell, anythings possible.
She's the one who flip-flopped. Must be related to Kerry.
