"A 5-year-old who is coming to the classroom with two moms"

Biologically impossible. I'm donating $25 to that fund. Not much, but all I can afford to give right now.

Are you serious? You are homosexual if you are attracted to people of the same sex, whether or not you actually have sex with someone.

A lot of people on FR want to tie homosexuality strictly to sexual acts.

Following their logic, a straight person who is not having sex with a member of the opposite sex at a given time (for whatever reason) is not, tehcnically-speaking, heterosexual.

Given the percentage of schools that teach about homosexuality and the percentage of people who identify as homosexual, you'd think there would be a HUGE population of homosexuals.

Other statistics say there is a larger percentage. In my own 40 years of life, I'd say the numbers have jumped, and it has become largely accepted.

I thing the so-called homosexual agenda is so far down on the list of this country's problems that even mentioning it shows how far detached we are from the real world.

I might've thought the same way... before I married and had children of my own. Now I have to think of all the repercussions of what my generation has done. And how will it affect my children and their children. The "homosexual agenda" is way up on the top of the list. Once implemented, it is taught in schools as acceptable, eventually leading to legal "same-sex marriage", leading to the schools equating it with heterosexual sex. And if it's all the same, then why don't we permit it in the military? And on and on it goes.

It ceases to become what it should be - a matter of privacy - and it becomes an agenda foisted onto everyone else.

I disagree. Your sexual preference is what it is. If you are homosexual, it is your cross to bear not to have sex. If you are heterosexual, it is your cross to bear not to have sex outside of marriage. Whether or not anyone is having sex at any given time is irrelevant - you are what you are. (Once a pedophile, always a pedophile - even if they are in jail and incapable of fulfilling their desires.)

We're on the same page, at least in terms of what makes one homosexual (the question of sin is something we probably disagree upon).

It's all mental, in my opinion. Not engaging in homosexual sex doesn't make a homosexual any more straight.

A 5-year-old who is coming to the classroom with two moms deserves to be in a classroom that includes books that show his family," said Laura Tully, a supporter of the Lexington School District.

How about a 5-year-old with two married (heterosexual) parents who attend a Christian church? Does the classroom include books that show his family?

No pure little innocent child needs to be told what homosexuality is or how or why it is done. I find it frighting that grown people, who are supposed to be educated would want to teach this perversion to a child.

I grew up not really knowing what a homosexual really was or how or why he did that, and I am really glad that no one thought that I really needed to know. It is pure filth and perverted. May God save us from all evil! My mind needed to be free to think about the good things in life.

Thomas Jefferson slept with a black slave and had a child with her.

Abraham Lincoln was big into the occult

Elvis was addicted to feenamint laxative gum and died on the potty.

You can't go through life with your head in the sand.

By the way. A child finding out there is such a thing as homosexuals is not the same thing as knowing what they do in their bedrooms. All little kids know they have a mommy and a daddy but they hardly have a clue what physical act brought them into the world.

There are no known diseases associated with that lifestyle,

The rates of lesbian to lesbian STD transmission are so low, they barely register on the charts. By your logic, the heterosexual lifestyle is much more unhealthy than the lesbian.

And since when does being gay mean you're infertile? Plenty of gay people have biological children, thanks to that wacky thing known as IVF.

I didn't think I needed to post the sarcasm tag, but then...

IMHO the greatest threat to the hetero community from the homo community is not the physical diseases, which are real, but the homo's use of government to force heteros to agree with the homo viewpoint, and to brand disagreement as a hate crime. This is where the homos deserve an unequivocal smack-down.
