That's not the first time I've heard "swamp stick." My guess is that "bayou" means he's near the Texas, Louisiana border and "rod" is short for "Rodriquez." I'm from southeast Louisiana and I had a coach in high school we called "Coach Rod" and his name was "Rodriquez."
How 'bout that swamp stick? Your last name "Rodriquez"? That would explain a lot.
That's funny! I got "swampstick" from someone who private mailed me. But it sounds totally appropriate.
You could be right but I'm almost assured that "swampstick" is from Houston. He's posted items from there. Is that anywhere near the great state of Lousiana? I don't think so. Shall we ask him?
'rod said in an earlier thread a while back that he doesn't have any hispanic friends nor is he kin to anyone who is hispanic. I surmise that he just prefers them, legal or illegal, to be the "worker bees" in the hive that is the U.S. Further, he said that my family (with its pre-statehood Texas residency, numerous military veterans, etc., is no different than illegal Mexicans).
