"You call yourself a Christian, I call you a hypocrite. You call yourself a patriot, well I think you're full of s---," the song says, according to Newsweek.

The Stones's frontman Sir Mick Jagger told Newsweek with a laugh: "It is direct."

The song is being released on the Stones's new album A Bigger Bang which is due out in early September. Source

I think it might be time for a little letter campaign to the NFL.

Absolutely. It is disgraceful that the NFL would peddle this anti-American crap.

I'd really like to stick it to them where it hurts, their wallets.

I've loved the Rolling Stones and listened to their music since 1964, but they can go screw themselves. Mick Jagger should stick to things he knows like sex and drugs and rock and roll. I wouldn't go across the street to listen to them perform after this.

This should go over quite well with the average football audiance IMHO, as Mick wraps an American flag around himself and prances like a rooster on acid singing his "Neocon" song.

Oh yea, can't wait!

I am done with football if this is the case..

The NFL can pucker up and kiss my Irish (Mick)Jager

There is a large contingent of Christian athletes in the NFL
they might also be done watchin' football..maybe even playing.

Mick Jagoff.. drug addict, satanist, most likely bi sexual,
Marxist,hater of decency..calling anyone a hypocrite...that's rich...

Naturally little Mick only speaks this trash in a nation
that protects his freedom to abuse us..

Does so on the blood of millions of US combat troops..

Take a good look at the end result of ANY society that advocates what Mick the pathetic little p#%*K advocates..

grrrrrrrr on so many levels...

I wonder how many football-loving FReepers will actually boycott the NFL, though. My guess is not many.

Maybe not boycott the NFL, but I bet the album goes down like a stone. And I've been going to the concerts when they came through Chicago, but I think that this political stuff could hurt ticket sales as well in the future.

Many will boycott the telecast of the islamofascist loving mick jagger(it has been reported that Keith Richards was against the Bush bashing song, maybe the heroin finally got our of his system).

The NFL made a mistake though with this stunt, although they may have been influenced by the ABC/Disney suits, to make such a blunder.

NASCAR should counter program a race that night, IMO.

Yes. Although, as far as evil actions, this still pales in comparison to the Stones' promotion of Windows 95.

:-)
