BTW, what WAS in those papers Sandy Berger stuffed down his pants?

Gorelick/Clinton combo sounds very dangerous to me.

Very interesting but ultimately ignored, I bet, is the fact that Jamie Gorelick's wall was instrumental in keeping anyone from connecting the dots...before 9/1l (and before Bush's election, BTW)....

AND, since Gorelick was on the 9/11 committee, DID NOT get put in the commission report as a SIGNIFICANT intelligence breakdown prior to 9/11...and she is in line for a cabinet position with HIllary?

If this wasn't so dastardly, it would be funny...but when I think of what the commission's fans put the Bush Administration through, and now THIS....my blood is boiling!

OH---I forgot to add that Rummy was asked about this report during his presser this morning...

He said that since he had NO KNOWLEDGE of this before today, he would have to check it out before giving his opinion!

Of course Clinton having people like Larry Johnson on board telling everyone that al Quaeda was no threat did not help.

Is Gorelick a lawyer? The fact that she didn't recuse herself from that farce of a commission should be an ethics violation worthy of disbarment at the least. Or is her defense to those charges that the commission was a farce?

?..... In the summer of 2000, a military team, known as Able Danger, had prepared a chart that included visa photographs of Atta and al Shehhi and recommended to the military's Special Operations Command that the information be shared with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Rep. Curt Weldon and a former intelligence official told the New York Times....?

......This has NOTHING to do with the ,.....al-Qaeda U.N or 'INS'....move on....

And how interesting the 9/11 Commission, which admits they knew about this, didn't include it in their report!

These procedures...will prevent any risk of creating an unwarranted appearance that [the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act] is being used to avoid procedural safeguards which would apply in a criminal investigation."

But the critical information was not acted on, at least in part, because of prohibitions against intelligence sharing implemented by former Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick, who was reportedly installed in her post at the insistence of then-first lady Hillary Clinton.

And was put on the 9/11 Commission to insure that the facts disclosed in this article did not become public and hurt herself and the Clintons. The Freepers knew all about the Golick connection and the prohibitions put in place by the Clinton Administration but it never broke through to the biased MSM. It was clear that the reason for this prohibition was to make certain that things known about the Clintons by the Intelligence Community did not make it to the desk of some "renegade" FBI agent who just might want to make a fuss. It worked. At the cost of 3000 lives on 9/11.

Weldon comes across as a kook to some but he is a well-informed person this country is not taking advantage of....he correctly predicted the election results in Iran a week before the final results.

The regime of the "Former Occupant of the Oval Office, 1993-2001" had no CLUE as to the dangerous forces they were dealing with. This was a law enforcement problem, so far as they were concerned, and NOT a priority in their universe. For if laws WERE to be enforced, they would be in SO much trouble, as many of the members of that regime were technically NOT in compliance with some number of statutes or legal requirements at any given time.

More than a year before the 9/11 attacks, Clinton administration intelligence officials had identified four of the 19 9/11 hijackers as a terrorist threat - including al-Qaida team leader Mohamed Atta and his partner Marwan al-Shehhi, whose planes destroyed the World Trade Center and killed over 2,700 people.

"The single greatest structural cause for September 11 was the wall that segregated criminal investigators and intelligence agents"

I'm sure this wall helped protect the Clintons.

Jamie Gorelick may be facing a federal indictment before too long. The Justice Department is investigating Fannie Mae and its accounting shenanigans, some of which were aimed directly at manipulating its stock price in order to maximize bonuses to Fannie Mae executives. Jamie Gorelick was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Fannie Mae while this took place and received a bonus of almost a million dollars. Frank Raines, active Democrat and friend of Bill and Hillary, was the CEO who hired Gorelick and he is also facing possible indictment. DOJ is throwing the book at corporate wrongdoers these days and getting indictments and winning convictions. I suspect Ms. Gorelick will plead out if she is indicted, but she will likely be disbarred as a result and will not be serving as anyone's Attorney General in the future.

Don't ever buy the line that the Clinton admin. took terrorists seriously.

1. The Clinton admin. final intelligence report to Congress barely mention bin laden or Islamo-terror

2. If fighting terror was so high a priority in the
Clinton admin., how come Gore never mentioned it during the
2000 campaign?
