one thing that doesn't make sense to me - she says she has no idea what her son was doing in Iraq because he was only there a short time. my son is a Marine (although not in Iraq). if God Forbid he was killed, I am sure I would seek out everyone he was with at the time to talk about him. Cindy didn't seem to want to know.

Prayer Up

Paul Weyrich, longtime conservative activist and chairman/CEO of the Free Congress Foundation, is scheduled to have his legs amputated this week.

Weyrich, who is also co-founder of the Heritage Foundation, suffered a spinal injury in 1996 and has been bound to a wheelchair since 2001

And wouldn't you think that the military would tell her, too? I can't imagine they just say, "Your son died" end of story and give no further details. She seems to have selective hearing disease.

Knowing how much her son believed in the mission and what his buddies had to say about his stand-up approach to his duty would cause such conflict in Cindy's core she couldn't stand it. She's terrified of such knowlege.

She'll run her son's memory straight into the ground before she'll admit that what he was doing had and HAS a good purpose and was a noble mission.

She doesn't want to know because it would mess up her version of events. My Dear Mother is a Moonbat, and anything that makes her uncomfortable and or makes her have to face reality, she doesn't want to hear! It all about emotions and how she FEELS, nothing rational or reasoned, that's to hard. Cindy might have to face the truth, that her son made the CHOICE to fight for his country. She can't live with the truth, she raised a soldier so it must be someone else's fault.

Her hatred and agenda has blinded her to any desire to know the facts. It seems to you and me that a grief-stricken mother would want to talk to the men who were with him at the time that he was killed and learn all she could about her son's actions. Instead, she goes on a vicious tirade against President Bush and gets herself in front of a lot of cameras. Drama queen imo. She does her son and other mothers' sons a grave disservice. Someday, I hope, that she will come to realize this.

Elizabeth Edwards gave DU hell when they went off on Laura Ingraham, saying how she deserved her cancer. Laura really appreciated her doing that.

I have a feeling part of what's driving her is that she feels she did not do enough to talk Casey out of going into the service.

I agree with you about that. She definitely has unresolved "issues" regarding her son, and whether is what you describe and/or other things, it's left her wide open to be taken full advantage of by the moonbat brigade.

I doubt that she could have talked her son out of VOLUNTEERING. He was 24 years old and planned (from what I've read) to make the military his career.

If she is planning to get arrested on Thursday it is a good idea to save this cause you just know the media will say the Administration planned to do it.

Cindy Sheehan phoned me from Texas a few minutes ago to say that she's been informed that beginning Thursday, she and her companions will be considered a threat to national security and will be arrested. Coincidentally, Thursday is the day that Rice and Rumsfeld visit the ranch, and Friday is a fundraiser event for the haves and the have mores. Cindy said that she and others plan to be arrested.
