At the time in question, the U.S.-U.N. delegation was headed by Richard Holbrooke, Madeleine Albright was secretary of state.
"Of course they knew (of the improprieties). Why did they not act? Ask them," Sevan said.
This could get interesting!! Here is a post from last year about the Kerry Campaign fund-raiser, Holbrooke, and the KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army).

Hope he lives to tell all....Someone should have the foresight to place him in protective custody.

Sevan Says He's Likely to Name Names (Oil for Food Scandal Ringleader) So name them already, weasel! I disagree that he's the ringleader, however (I reserve that title for Saddamite and Kofi Roberts, or is it Cokie Annan-I confuse the two so easily)
The refreshments are down in #12 and #16. Thanks for gift-wrapping them, SandRat :-)

This massive scandal has been going on for a long time. Last November was only 9 months ago, and I know it has been reported on by Fox since early spring.
Finding out about it and participating in it are two different things.

The most disturbing came through an aunt living in Cyprus who died in a mysterious apartment elevator accident after surviving an earlier car crash.Arkansas Dirt Nap?
In an earlier press release, Sevan again denied any wrong doing and accused U.N. chief Kofi Annan of making him a "sacrificial lamb."
Arkansas Dirt Nap in the near future?

ok folks,
As much as I'd like to see certain heads roll on this, let us keep in mind that this man (Savan) is known to lie his way out of a wet paper bag in an attempt to save his arse.

I'd say Kofi is the ringleader and this chump is just his front man.

Mr Sevan should have done this quietly. Although, speaking loudly, he probably thinks he is insuring himself against an untimely demise.
Hopefully, he has left evidence in a safe location and has let those looking into this scandal know if its wherabouts in case he winds up in Ft. Marcy Park or suffers a 'heart attack'.
At the very least, he best not fly on any airplanes.
