When I was in jerusalem a couple years ago I found it depressing that all the truly old Jerusalem was gone. They've recreated things and a lot of it looks very biblical but the stones Christ walked on are hard to find. I can't wait to go back and visit this site.

I worked a dig at Banias (Caesarea Phillipi) in 1989. We actually uncovered a street on which Jesus walked without any real doubt. That was an exciting moment I will never forget.

Did you walk on the stones of the path that leads to Caiphas,sp. house? We were told that those stones had been carbon dated to the time of Jesus.
