Cindy Sheehan (snip) said yesterday on CNN that a private meeting with President Bush last year was offensive, insisting, "He acted like it was a party ... he came in very jovial, like we should be happy that ... our son died for [the President's] misguided policies."
But just after that 2004 meeting, she gave a very different account, (snip) "I now know [the president is] sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis. I know he's sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he's a man of faith." (snip)

This isn't anything too surprising. Sheehan has been with the anti-war Left since at least October of last year.
October 7, 2004
BuzzFlash: Your son Casey died April 4 in Iraq. Whom do you hold responsible for your loss?
Cindy Sheehan: George W. Bush.
BuzzFlash: Why?
Cindy Sheehan: I think he rushed into this war -this invasion - without having proper intelligence. And the reasons he went are so clearly wrong -from his false claims that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction to there being no connection between Iraq and Saddam and Osama bin Laden. He diverted attention and troops and resources from Afghanistan and Al Qaeda to Iraq.
FULL INTERVIEW:
October 7, 2004: Cindy Sheehan Is Working To Bring Our Troops Home: "Mr. President. You have daughters. How would you feel if one of them was killed?"

If Drudge "broke it," he broke well after tgslTakoma did yesterday. See
this thread where tgslTakoma posted the research.

"Just complete and utter DNC talking point nonsense."
Exactly -- the important thing is that she's felt this way since at least October of last year -- almost one full year -- this wasn't something that developed overnight, within the past few days or week.

The important thing is that it is now out in the "main stream" media. tgslTakoma did a great job of bringing to the attention of Freepers and kristinn got the word out to the media. They both deserve credit and they are getting it from fellow Freepers.
To: jdm
That's why tgslTakoma had to pay the fee for the archives, because it's old. That's why it's relevant now: Now she's changed her story. Did you miss that?

The article posted by tgslTakoma credits Drudge.
To: JaneAustin
It would have been nice if Drudge had credited tgslTacoma for the legwork, but yes, I'm really happy it's getting out, no matter who's reporting it. (Brit Hume is a class act, and generally credits his sources.)
