Planned Parenthood superhero terminates Christian protesters. Also drowns promoter of abstinence in animated video pushing 'safe is sexy' message.
An online animated video sponsored by Planned Parenthood's San Francisco-area branch features a superhero character drowning an abstinence promoter in a trash can and blasting into oblivion several pro-life picketers protesting in front of one of the organization's facilities. The eight-minute "Superhero for Choice," posted on the Planned Parenthood Golden Gate website, has a bespectacled black woman in San Francisco morphing into a red-suited flying enforcer, bent on making the world safe for the organization's values.
Viewers see three teenagers talking with an ugly green-faced man sporting a top hat and bow tie who tries to tell the kids abstinence is the only sure way to protect against sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancy. The teen girl rebuts the man, naming several birth-control methods.
Retorts the little green man: "Those are instruments from the devil's toolbox!" The superhero arrives in time to fill a trash can with water and dump the pro-abstinence character into it, slamming the cover down. After the man's muffled voice eventually dies off, the superhero tosses the teens a "safe sex kit," reminding the kids: "Safe is sexy!"
The "Superhero for Choice," dubbed Dianisis, next confronts a group of protesters in front of a Planned Parenthood facility. They, too, are ugly and have green faces, carrying signs that say, "Pray for thy sins." Religious protesters get blasted. The superhero character uses a "condom gun" that catches each protester in a prophylactic bubble, which subsequently explodes. Though she admits the protesters have a First Amendment right to picket, she glories in the fact that people can now visit the Planned Parenthood facility unimpeded.
The flying superhero then travels to Washington, D.C., where she puts a giant condom on the Washington Monument and confronts a Southern senator who is stricken with "misinformed conservatism." The woman's final stop is a village in Africa, where she talks to a doctor working to stem HIV/AIDS and to make sure "every child is a wanted child." The superhero remarks before leaving: "I have an appointment with the Rev. Jerry Falwell that schmuck."
Jim Sedlak, executive director of American Life League's STOPP International, decried the Planned Parenthood animated piece. "With its latest marketing gimmick
Planned Parenthood is glamorizing violence against people of faith," Sedlak said in a statement. "The hatred and religious bigotry demonstrated by Planned Parenthood in this video are shocking and offensive."
Sedlak says the video could encourage people to act out the violence shown. "In this post-9/11 era of terrorism, Planned Parenthood has recklessly crossed the line by promoting violence against people who do not share the organization's radical beliefs," said Sedlak. "Planned Parenthood's actions are reprehensible, because there is no guarantee that someone viewing this video might not act on its suggestions and instigate violence against people of faith." Commented blogger Dawn Eden: "Now, I ask you, if the American Life League's website featured a cartoon depicting an ALL superhero blowing up nonviolent Planned Parenthood activists, would Planned Parenthood just shrug it off?
"I think we all know what would happen. There would be an uproar." American Life League wants heads to roll over the video. Said Sedlak: "American Life League demands that Planned Parenthood publicly reveal the names of all persons involved in the development and posting of this outrageous material and immediately dismiss all individuals involved from their positions as employees or volunteers. We also demand that Planned Parenthood issue a public apology without delay to pro-life Christians everywhere for inciting violence against them." While Planned Parenthood refers countless women for abortions across the nation, the word "abortion" is not mentioned in the film. Planned Parenthood Golden Gate is a consortium of eight clinics in the San Francisco Bay Area. Repeated calls to the organization's administrative offices were not returned by press time.
'A Superhero for Choice' confronts abstinence promoter.

I had all kinds of problems with it, I suspect because Real Player is my default and it was creating problems. But I'm not sure what to tell you to fix it. It eventually came up and ran at work, but on my home computer it kept timing out.

Notice in the video when Dionisis/devil woman drowns the Christian in the garbage can. She's not using water, but fills the can with "Aqua-Glide" gun (a play on the product Astroglide) Astroglide is what Planned Parenthood is pushing on their TeenWire website as a recommended lubricant 13 year olds wanting to have anal sex. These people are sick, sick SICK!

Folks, I probably agree with everything everyone else said on this thread.
As I see it, this is a vivid illustration of several points:
1. Evil does indeed exist. Where does evil come from? This is a very deep question that philosophers and religious teachers and believers have struggled with for thousands of years. It's quite clear that Evil with a capital "E" means darkness - the darkness of heart and mind that attends utter rebellion against the merciful and absolute authority of the Supreme God. Those who want to get closer to God through obedient loving serving draw closer and closer to His light, His love, His wisdom - bathing in His presence.
OTOH, those who want to usurp His position of Lordship, of course can never do that, as His powers and eternal enegies are unassailable. So in order to forget His existence and omnipresence and omniscience, they have to turn their backs on Him. With the result that their minds, hearts and intelligence all become saturated with the thick gloom of darkness. What is that darkness? It is the darkness of God's absence, which is called Evil. Those who hate God worship their own minds and desires. Everyone has to worship someone or something; those who hate God worship themselves or another like them.
And such people, by Nature's (and Who is Nature's Author?) arrangement, fall lower and lower into the abyss. Evil is not stationary.
2. This also illustrates the terrible result of appeasement. Trying to appease evil has the exact result that Europe experienced when Neville Chamberlain practiced appeasing Hitler. The result will be total war. Those who chose Evil want to dominate, control and ultimately annihilate all opposition. And what is the opposition? All who believe in God.
One of their methods is to infiltrate religious organizations, either by consious stealth or sheer moral blindness, and then shape it to their will. We see that everywhere.
So what will be the outcome? Fortunately, those who choose Evil have only their own strength and the strength of other enemies of God to protect them. We have the all-powerful Supreme God to protect us. And such protection is often manifested in our own hearts, a fortress that is not perceivable with the eyes.
Think of previous martyrs and saints who were actually killed by those who chose Evil. Were such martyrs defeated? Not at all. Their earthly bodies were left behind like the useless shells they were, and the souls who inhabited them are now in peace and happiness, personally seeing and serving the Lord they were faithful to.

You know, if I had somehow fallen into a suspended-animation state, say 25 years ago, and then, awakened today, or in the last few years, I would SWEAR, that I was only having a bad dream, and still in that state of SI, 'cause, one would NEVER think, (that is, a normal, rational person), that a NATIONALLY recognized, and PUBLICLY FUNDED organization, would do something such as-- CONDONING WHORING AROUND, BY BOYS(yes,I said BOYS ) AND GIRLS, and--to portray the actions of CHRISTIANS, in trying to protect innocent life, as something like a cartoon villain, and have a "superhero", come out, and destroy (as in kill), those Christians.
WOW-- are we EVER living n the Twilight zone-- I doubt that Rod Serling, or even Alfred Hitchcock, could come up with anything better than this. Or, am I just overreacting, to "harmless, funny cartoons" again?
Yeah, I know what you mean. Like you, I feel much the same way, I always have said, "there are times I feel like an alien in this world the way it is going." You know what, at one time, if they made a cartoon like that, they would have been tarred and feathered or worse. I don't mind a little off-color humor form time to time, but dang, they portray Christians and conservatives like Hitler's stepkids, that is beyond the pale. No, you are not over-reacting, I'm with ya 100%, there are some lines that are not meant to be crossed and this is one of them. I don't think we need a law to stop them but again at one time they would be rediculed so much that they would just take the cartoon down or not show it and you'd never hear from that again. Except for many of us here, there is no redicule out there. I'm trying to get my Quicktime to work so I could view it before I e-mail Quinn and Rose here in Pittsburgh about it so I can see for myself. We also have a Christian personality here in Pittsburgh, Marty Minto, I might e-mail him too. In short, there are times I have to utter the Jimmy Traficant line, "beam me up, Scotty!"
BTW, about me siccing the Wonder Twins, Venture Brothers and so on them, I think that "superheroine" (supervillain) would be so easy to defeat, even my 18 year old calico cat could beat her up although I like to turn that picture of a Crusader loose on her. Plus my 90 year old grandmother could kick NARAL's "Choice Chick" into the Ohio River.
I am sure some of you will say I am, and that I am a fanatic, lunatic, extremist, and "out of touch". Go ahead, and call me those things.
Hey, I'm with ya there too. One thing that bugs the crap outta me is "well it is 2005 (or 1985 or 1974) and so on." I mean if I whip out a revolver and shoot my mother, that is just as evil in 2005 as it would be in 1985 or 1974 or 1934 or 1567, or 330 BC. It is a cop-out.

Apparently Planned Parenthood thinks killing is the answer to everything. "...but the end thereof is death."
Sometimes scripture is quite literal.

Consider yourself fortunate. You fear Death. Not just for your self but others as well.
Little J, This is why I post here on FR. I am scared. Scared of getting sucked too deep into this world, and scared for others too.
I read the Bible.... Now I get to see the movie.
Coming to a movie theatre or drive-in near you in color...... B-P
I remember the John Lithgow toymaker character from the 1985 movie "Santa Claus" where he remarked to his male secretary, "some days, don't you feel like you want to drop The Bomb on the whole world." I feel that way myself for different reasons of course although innocents will get hurt.
I fear for the future too and I am scared like many of us here. Although I do believe in God and what is right I do fear for the innocents here as well as because I really do care about this world. What is right is wrong, what is good is evil, war is peace, freedom is slavery, and so on, it is like a combination of "The Twilight Zone" and "1984.'
I know myself, there are times I wonder if there were prior civilizations on Earth like Lemuria and Atlantis where they built themselves up so high and become so immoral and "Mr. Know-It-All" enough to where they either destroyed themselves or God did it and then we had to start over again. I've pretty much come to the conclusion that either we will destroy ourselves either in a flash or just plain decay and entropy or perhaps some "Anakin Skywalker" will come about and start taking America back by force. Whether this "Anakin" is good or evil, well it will be up to his motives and reasons, only he and God will know what is in his heart and his motivations. It sort of like the scenario laid out in Robert Heinlein's "Starship Troopers" from 1959 where he predicted such a world like we have now until the military and military veterans decided to take things back one day. I hate to see it happen, but I cannot sweep the possibility under the rug either.

I think it is time, HIGH, Time, and WAY past time, that someone find a way, to shut down PP, once and for ALL, nationwide. After all, they are receiving PUBLIC funding. I recall a big fuss made, by groups when pro-lifers wanted license plate holders that simply said"choose life", and PP and others screamed "you cant do that ,it is imposing your will on others", or something like that. So, I guess showing kids that Pro-lifers are like cartoon villians and such, I guess THAT is not "imposing your will" on others, is it??
TIME to take PP out!!!!!
I once suggested we use the RICO (anti-racketteering) Laws to take out the ACLU, perhaps we can do the same thing to PP or NARAL. I remember Michael Savage suggesting shutting down the ACLU, I ought to call him and suggest RICO.

What an idiot!
God's allowed children to drown, so I suppose we should legalize drowning? What about rape? Women have been raped for centuries!
I try to be Christlike when it comes to these people, but I have to believe they're possessed. No way could they be this stupid... could they?

I think we need to either call in the "Wonder Twins," "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" and "The Venture Brothers." B-)LOL! Somehow I doubt the Venture brothers would be much help here!
Seriously though, I heard some clips of this on Savage's show, and I was speechless. I cannot even imagine the perverted brainstorming sessions the writers had when creating this tripe. They should all be ashamed of themselves...yeah, right.

Hey I managed to record the Superheroes for Choice video for posterity. Its really twisted, the more you watch it, and it seems to be gone from Planned Parenthood's site now. Anyway, if any Freepers would like a copy for themselves or to send to others that care, freepmail me. I made a hi-res 59 mb version and a low res 8 MB version. Also, if you know a place on the web to park it, let me know. thanks!
