Respect MP George Galloway today risked sparking further controversy by referring to insurgents fighting British and American troops in Iraq as "heroic".
Mr Galloway told the Sunday Herald: "I think the decision the Iraqis have made to resist foreign occupation is a heroic decision. The individual acts carried out by people in the name of resistance may or may not be heroic. Some are undoubtedly heroic.
Mr Galloway was last week accused by political opponents of risking British troops` lives after going on TV in the Middle East to hail the Iraqi "resistance" for "defending all the people of the world against American hegemony".

Where do these guys come from?
There has been democratic elections and the democratically elected government has invited the multi-national force to remain in the country at the moment, so it is not an occupation at the moment.
Deport him Mr. Blair. Or else what do your new laws against incitement stand for?
"Respect MP"
I keep seeing this phrase, what is "respect"? Is it the area he represents?
From the same evil Nazis came from. They have a twisted view of the world, they side with the killers of innocents. He might as well be one of Bin Laden's personal handmaidens.
It's a third party name this kookball made up, when he was kicked out of the Labour Party and ran for office anyway.
His ex-wife sure doesn't "respect" him, after he screwed around on her...
There are some funny articles here, wherein she rips him a new one.
I know a guy who attempted a citizens arrest on Galloway for Treason when he visited our univeristy.
Yo, Tony! Here's your first deportation case. Charge this bozo and toss him out toot sweet.
He needs to go bury himself on the bottom floor of an outhouse.
Gary
This man should be taken out in the London Tower courtyard and shot.
I think it's the name of the party.
The man is a traitor.
So let's drop Galloway's butt right in the middle of his "heroes" and have him call us when he misplaces his head (literally).
Didn't the Brits hang Lord Haw-Haw?
He's a latter-day Lord Haw Haw, isn't he?
