CRAWFORD, Texas (AP) -- The angry mother of a fallen U.S. soldier staged a protest near President Bush's ranch Saturday, demanding an accounting from Bush of how he has conducted the war in Iraq.
Supported by more than 50 demonstrators who chanted, "W. killed her son!" Cindy Sheehan told reporters: "I want to ask the president, 'Why did you kill my son? What did my son die for?"'
Sheehan, 48, didn't get to see Bush, but did talk about 45 minutes with national security adviser Steve Hadley and deputy White House chief of staff Joe Hagin, who went out to hear her concerns.
Appreciative of their attention, yet undaunted, Sheehan said she planned to continue her roadside vigil, except for a few breaks, until she gets to talk to Bush.

He died because he volunteered for the Armed forces of the US.No one drafted him, least of all President Bush. This woman needs to get a life and instead of blaming every Bush for her son's death, blame the real villians, the terrorists.
She's only disrespecting her son.
It's unfortunate, but when citizens volunteer to join the armed services the one living off Uncle Sam could potentially be killed in action.
The military is not a welfare program. This mother should realize the sacrifice her son made in protecting other people's lives and freedoms by embracing her memories of the brave son, not irrationally attempt to find who is at fault.
If she wants to protest someone, she needs to protest Clinton. It would be several times more important to ask what the soldiers of the Khobar Towers and the sailors of the USS Cole died for.
Her son would probably not approve of her current activities.
That said, I'd like to also remind folks that around 3,000 innocent people had mothers, wives, sisters, brothers, husbands, children, and loving friends who also lost someone when this war started with an attack on the U.S. They grieve just as much, and most of them hope and pray that there won't be another such attack.
If this woman and her friends have their way, there will definitely be another one. How many will it take before these people realize that the terrorists only want them--and us--dead?
"I now know he's sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis," Cindy said after their meeting. " I know he's sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he's a man of faith."
Why did W kill her son? Typical, blame everyone but the ones who did it. Her son is a true American Hero and died with honor. To bad his mother cannot live with the same honor.
Instead of casting her son as a Hero, she would rather cast him as a victim. This is truly sad and if any person has ever turned over in their grave, it would be him at the moment.

The whole "Bush's fault" death list of soldiers should be countered with a list of those killed by Islamist Sgt. Akbar, the dead children murdered by terrorist bombs attempting to harm our soldiers, the beheading victims (the first Iraqi case came AFTER CBS/NYTimes hyping of the Abu Ghraib scandal even though he had been kidnapped long before that was revealed).
The leftist terrorist sympathizers have blood on their hands. Accusing our government of being evil in this matter only serves to aid the enemy. Some would even say it is an act of treason.
We've seen how Democrats are unable to cope with loss in elections. She had better seek some professional counselling or else she will never be able to deal with the death of her son.
The list should also include the names of the dead from all the terrorist attacks on US targets.

I agree with you completely. You would think she would have enough respect for her son to honor his memory rather than letting it be used for political ends. You'd also think she would be proud of him, rather than painting him as some helpless victim. She may not have agreed with his decision to have joined the military, but at least respect it (and him) enough not to engage in this kind of display.
Great the left has again taken a hero and made a anti-American dumb ass out of his family.
