An Important Anniversary (Babs Barf Alert)
Barbra Streisand ^ | 8/5/05 | Barbra Streisand

Posted on 08/07/2005 6:22:50 AM PDT by Embraer2004

An Important Anniversary Posted on August 5, 2005 August 6, 2005 marks the 60th anniversary of the US bombing of Hiroshima. The Atomic Bomb, which decimated the Japanese city and its people, was never used in combat again. This day is also the anniversary of another “bomb” that was dropped 4 years ago, this time into the lap of President Bush in the form of a memo titled “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in the US.” While on yet another extended vacation at his Crawford ranch, the President chose to neglect his duties as Commander in Chief by refusing to act decisively and immediately on this impending threat, leading to the worst terrorist attack in American history. These anniversaries remind us to learn from our past actions in order to ensure a safer more secure future.

She probably considers the Doolitte Raid to have been a terrorist act. Then again she probably never even heard of Jimmy Doolittle.

Oh she knows who Doolittle was. That was the weatherwoman who predicted rain for the plains of Spain.

Babs doesn't know the meaning of the word decimate. When Roman Legionaires occupied a town they would set an example for all to abided by. The men were lined up and every tenth man was KILLED!

Decimate one in ten!

The Rape of Nanking was not a decimation. The prisoners on the Bataan Death March were not decimated. The millions of Chinese who died from 1936 to 1945 were not decimated.

Babs you illiterate fool....

I had to go to her website and see this crap for myself. Don't know what parallel universe she's living in, but she's not talking about the America I know and love. She should really come out from behind her compound walls once in a while and have a look around. Instead she lives in a self-made bubble - from where she can safely spew this garbage. Fame and money have ruined many a life - but harboring extreme hate has probably ruined even more than that. Poor babs has been ruined by all three.

America was profoundly changed after the September 11 attacks. We went from a country motivated by hope to a country controlled by fear. For the last several years, feeling neither safe nor secure, Americans have lived in extreme anxiety of another impending terrorist attack... President Bush and the Religious Right's greatest political weapon has been perpetuating fear... they have been successful in stripping Americans of their personal freedoms, suppressing dissent and winning elections based on moral values... By allowing personal religious beliefs to infiltrate our political framework, we have enabled this administration to wage a war on women's reproductive rights, squelch scientific advancement, take away our freedom of speech and fill important positions within government and possibly the nation's highest courts with religious extremists...

Old hose-nose is making about as much sense as Thomas.
Is hose-nose a offspring of Charles DeGaule, the former French president? They have the same looking nose.

Hey Barbara – Condemn this!

We can only remember those who died fighting to make the world free.

We can do things today to save innocent lives.

This is funny.  Anyone that thinks that any President is ever on vacation shows that they are either totally ignorant or foolish or both.

Speaking of "bombed," just when will James Brolin get bombed out of his mind and lock Missy Babs down the basement permanently after realizing the gigolo thing has indeed driven him crazy?

It seems to me that Babs and her ilk should be concerned more about Who started the war, why they started the war and how they started the war instead of who ended the war, why they ended the war and how they ended the war.

!

Babs conveniently neglects to mention a third 'bomb'. That would be, of course, the horrendous movie 'Ishtar' (I might have misspelled the title) which Babs directed and starred in. It was arguably the biggest bomb in the history of Hollywood and sickened many people.

"She is beginning to sound like Helen Thomas..."

Why not? Streisand already looks like Thomas.

The story goes that when Robert Redford was reading the script for "The Way We Were" he suddenly stopped and read the page again. He would have to do a love scene with Streisand! He immediately got on the phone to his agent and told him to demand more money.

DID BABS GET HILLARY'S CLAWS OUT?

WAS it Barbra Streisand's overnight stay in the Lincoln Bedroom that made Hillary Clinton so angry, she slashed Bill Clinton's face with her fingernails in 1993?

White House spokesmen first attributed the scratch to a shaving accident, then blamed Socks the cat. But in "Hillary's Choice" (Random House), Gail Sheehy wrote that it was an unnamed "famous singer" who sparked Hillary's jealous rage.

The mystery remained unsolved in the months following the book's U.S. release earlier this year. But in the wake of its recent publication in Britain, insiders now tell PAGE SIX that the "famous singer" was none other than Streisand - who slept over at the White House in March 1993 when Hillary was away visiting her dying father in Little Rock, Ark.

The Brooklyn-born diva, who has been banned from the White House ever since, has always been vague about the nature of her relationship with Clinton.

Two years ago, when Streisand was campaigning against Clinton's impeachment, Judicial Watch chairman Larry Klayman attacked her credibility by threatening to subpoena her to testify on the true nature of her relationship to the president.

At the time, Streisand issued a statement to PAGE SIX: "Boy, they sure know how to fight dirty. This is what the right wing does. With threats of malicious prosecution, they try to intimidate not just me, but everybody."

The carefully-worded statement never addressed whether she and Clinton were lovers. If they were, it would add the Horndog-in-Chief to a rather distinguished list.

According to various sources, Streisand's admirers include: Elvis Presley, Steve McQueen, Warren Beatty, Peter Jennings, Omar Sharif, Ryan O'Neal, Don Johnson, Robert Redford, Kris Kristofferson, Jon Voigt, Liam Neeson, Milos Forman, Peter Bogdanovich, Richard Baskin, Jon Peters, Andre Agassi, Prince Charles, Moishe Dayan, Yitzhak Rabin, and Pierre Trudeau.

Streisand would have joined a less stellar group that includes: Gennifer Flowers, Elizabeth Ward Gracen, Juanita Broaddrick, Dolly Kyle Browning, Eleanor Mondale, Marky Post, and, of course, Monica Lewinsky.

Kathleen Willey and Paula Jones don't make the list because they resisted Clinton's crude advances.

Doesn't she have 'people' who can correct these things for her? Perhaps her 'people' are as clueless as she is.

People.....who need people...

The fact this article contains words with more than four letters in them leads me to believe there is no way that mental midget Babs could have written it on her own.
