80 liberals each pledge $1 million - hope to copy success of think tanks run by conservatives

WASHINGTON - At least 80 wealthy liberals have pledged to contribute at least $1 million each to fund a network of think tanks and advocacy groups, to compete with the potent conservative infrastructure built up during the last three decades.

A pinch of information (Of course their stated focus is all about (((choke))) "the children." I truth, their mission is tapping into and influencing the public education marching army and educating and recruiting students to their cause.)

We believe in long term work. As our colleagues have said, school reform is steady work. We know that changing practice and systems is not quick or easy business-it requires a sustained effort until new systems are established. We make long term commitments.

We believe in seizing opportunities. When we see promising opportunities or changes in the field we capitalize on the occasion by providing a boost in funding in exchange for potential leverage, resources, or an expanded knowledge base.......***

I have a couple of old ones I have not seen recently in this Forum. In view of the bloated $286 million Transportion Bill passed with over 90% approval in the House and Senate, costing every person in the USA abt. $986, I suggest we start talking again about the line item veto and term limits.

If that isn't the truth! I watched and listened to as many speakers as I could who attended the Young America's Foundation convention last week. More importantly, I listened to most of the Q&A sessions that followed the speakers. I heard no whining or attacks on the Left. I heard only young people who are more than ready to pick up the conservative standard.
