"Rosenberg said liberals and Democrats face a conservative "information-age Tammany Hall, a 21st Century political machine, that is simply better than what we have on our side.

Hey jerk weeds, the whole problem is that your "message" IS getting out. "WE" just ain't buying into your communist bull sh*t. Oops I mean 'progressive' clap-trap.

And that goes for 'blue state' IL too. We're as 'blue' as a frigging Fire Truck! "eFfen sKerry" only won 15 of 102 counties (14.7% of the land mass). And only 'won' IL by 10% (IIRC) because he took CrOOK County by 44%. And most of that was because of phantom voters, felons and Illegal freaking aliens! (I'd mention the Daley Machine but that would be redundant)

This is how liberals make a living. Start a political organization, get fat donations, and place themselves, family members, and friends into good paying positions. Beats working like real americans in factories and other real centers of commerce and industry.

Why ever the wealthiest Americans wish for totalitarian government is beyond me, but they definitely do. And strangley are usually joined in the wish by corporate America. OTOH, there are lots of conservatives who feel the same.

These days, I see the American Left as being comprised of the very wealthiest people and their serfs, who are certain minorities, plus most entertainers, including news media, academia, big unions by definition, and a good sector of the ordinary population, maybe half, the ones who think they are liberals.

The rest of us, sometimes labeled as the Right, are comprised of hard working businessmen, some wealthy, plus half or more of the ordinary population, and increasing numbers of minorities, the ones who have figured out the truth of leftist propaganda about supposed oppression by the Right. Also the Religious Right, though I tend to think that sector is less important to that anti leftist cause than either side imagines.

Hey, you know what they say about a fool and his money...if those rich liberals want to throw their money away, who are we to stop them?

They can throw all of THEIR money away if they want to, but when it comes to taking MY money through taxation and throwing it away...

Oh wait, sorry I was dreaming for a moment.

And therein lies the problem with the Libs. If they threw just their own money away, it would be one thing...however, their insistence on wasting YOUR money and MY money needs to end!

And the reason George Soro's failed is because he had no message. What is so hard about figuring tht out. Liberal think thanks can't sell the public anything new, after Roosevelt used all their capital.

The left constantly whines and complains that there's never enough money spent on social programs, yet they always find money to spend on pushing politics.

You're reading my mind. Hey libs, what about all the poor children you want to keep raiding my wallet to provide for? That $80 million could take care of a lot of them.

So typical of liberals...they believe throwing money at the problem will fix it. This will fail because the left have NO IDEAS and no amount of money will change that.

I just ruined my monitor.

ABCCBSNBCMSNBCCNNBBCAIRAMERICA must be a figment of my imagination.

Rosenberg fails to comprehend that the reason "conservative machines" gets big ratings is due to the fact that the Tammany Hall alphabet soup news organizations (Again controlled by Democrats), is broken.

What happen to Rosenberg's media tyrants is that freedom of information came about and is in the process of killing the real Tammany Hall democrat media machines.

This collectivist idiot has no clue what the American people are about.

Its staff and board of directors will develop a list of established and proposed groups they think will develop and promote ideas on the left.

I can imagine what that list must look like:

and so on...

Just further confirmation of what we knew when America Coming Together announced they were "shutting down" - this is nothing more than a restructuring of the entire 527 apparatus the Dims put together for the 2004 elections to step around CFR and coordinate ad buys and other activities with the DNC, as well as launder questionable funds. They'll shuffle the key players around and set up a bunch of new "storefront" operations, but it'll be the same old extreme left crowd in charge, getting ready for 2008. They must have figured that the public ha d figured out who they really were, so it was time for a name change. I wouldn't be surprised to find they are also trying to skip out of paying some rather substantial debts they racked up in 2004.

The money will be channeled through a new partnership called the Democracy Alliance, founded last spring in a series of liberal initiatives as the Democratic Party and its allies struggle with the loss of power in Congress and the White House. Many influential Democratic contributors were left angry and despairing about the party's poor showing in last year's elections, and are looking for more effective ways to invest their support.

Oh Gee .. another group for the Libs to dump millions of dollars into

Left wing this or that.. Thats a bit disinformation, agitprop, and downright propaganda.. When whats meant is SOCIALIST.. Left wing means SOCIALIST pure and simple.. The entire so-called right wing is brain washed.. Rarely do you hear the word socialist used.. especially in congress and on TV.. even from Rush Limbaugh.. George Bush's teeth would fall out before he used "that" word..

Amazing piece work too.. The so-called left has removed the most descriptive word to unmask "the LEFT" from the dictionary.. EVEN non-socialists don't use the word.. its almost like brain washing.. of a whole country..

Course I personally know of few that even knows what socialism even IS.. even republicans.. Another amazing piece of work.. The word socialism and the knowlege of what socialism even IS has been removed from Americas radar screen.. with not a wimper from a glassy eyed public..

Pretty strange if you ask me, that this could even happen.. few other words are UNused as frequently.. when literally NO OTHER word would match it exactly.. Cannot be an accident..
maybe Americans are generally socialists and are in DENIAL<<- NOT A RIVER IN EGYPT...

Actually, I welcome this. It means far less money that the same people would spend on Lefty voter turn-out efforts and on Move-On propaganda. So this will hurt other established Dim party efforts.

The idea predicated here is (again) that Dims believe they have the right message but just need to present it better. And it ties in with the recent identity crisis where Dims assemble to find out what they believe. Well, they know what they believe and certainly everyone else does. What they don't know is that everyone is on to their con job. Only they are unaware of it.

Naturally, we know that it is the message that is well-understood and thoroughly rejected at the ballot box. Therefore, this is a Good Thing because they'll waste money elabortately articulating a losing message at the cost of depressing their turn-out and propaganda messages.

More, please.

WASHINGTON - At least 80 wealthy liberals have pledged to contribute at least $1 million each to fund a network of think tanks and advocacy groups, to compete with the potent conservative infrastructure built up during the last three decades.

To quote G.Gordon Liddy:

"SUCKERS!"

Common sense cannot be bought and every thing liberals stand for go against common sense. Another black hole for libs to toss their money into.
