The Skinny on Politics [Huckabee: I may move to NY and run against Hillary in Senate race]
NYT Sunday Magazine ^ | Aug 7, 2005 | DEBORAH SOLOMON

AR GOP Gov Mike Huckabee

Q: Congratulations on your new appointment as the chairman of the National Governors Association.

Thank you. I know it sounds impressive, but it may be one of those things for which I will need condolences in about six months....

Q. You recently formed a health political action committee and are rumored to be making a bid for the White House in 2008. What if you wind up running against Hillary Clinton?

Well, that would be an interesting twist, wouldn't it? But I may follow another path and move to New York and run against her for Senate.

Thank you for your apology as to your mistake with respect to Gov Huckabee playing in a band. That was very classy of you to admit you were wrong.

Oh, wait, never mind...

If you don't know much at all about your boy Huck, it simply means to me you do not follow current events or politics.

Or maybe it means I am more interested in following the politics of the governor of the state where I live, which is not AR. Ever think of that?

Datura,
You are completely wrong about Huckabee's position on illegal immigration. He opposes illegal immigration and advocates their deportation. Period. He is hated by some for his belief that children of illegal immigrants, most of whom are American citizens and all of whom have committed no crime themselves, be eligible for in-state tuition and financial aid to attend college upon graduation from Arkansas high schools. The Arkansas constitution-- not Huckabee-- mandates that all children, regardless of legal status, be education K-12. So why should an academically qualified, 18-year old adult, American citizen be denied the opportunity for a college education just because his or her parents committed a crime?

You are spewing lies. On March 26, 2003, Tyson Foods was acquitted of all immigration charges in the case brought against them by the U.S. Government. See this link: http://www.gtlaw.com/practices/immigration/news/2003/03/28a.htm

She always looked dirty and her skin still does, at least her hair doesn't drip oil anymore, that's probably from too much bleach. His mother was trash, but at least she was clean. Guess she learned that in nursing school. She made the statement once to Bill, that Hillary was the ugliest, dirtiest girl she had ever seen. He told her, Hillary had a fine mind and he was sure his mother could clean her up.

If a student is a citizen they would get in-state tuition The fight is about the student who is here illegally. Why are you trying to obfuscate the issue?

If the child of an illegal alien is an American citizen, then it's a non-issue when it comes to in-state tuition and financial aid to attend college upon graduation from an Arkansas high school. These American citizen children of illegal aliens have exactly the same rights as any other child who is an American citizen and who has graduated from an Arkansas high school.

Because that's what they do when all else fails. I certainly didn't hear Huckabee complain about the VICTIMS of the identity thefts from ARKANSAS LEGAL CITIZENS that was sold to these ILLEGALS in order to get their jobs. The woman who plead GUILTY has been working for TYSON for over 10 years. Do you think she just started selling them for $780 a set last week?

I don't believe anything Huckabee says anymore. He is no different than most lying politicians. He didn't get where he is by being honest, that's for damn sure. It just took him a little longer to show his true colors. They'll sell out their own family for political power it seems.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement news release dated Feb. 23 said agents arrested Moreno after informants purchased five sets of" genuine U.S. birth certificates and matching Social Security cards for $780 per set. " In addition, agents seized $12,815 from the woman’s house and $47,450 from a bank safedeposit box.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said they researched company records to identify the 119 workers arrested at the plant. Of those arrested, 107 voluntarily returned to their home country, 10 have sought appeals before an immigration judge, and two were expelled from the United States, Black said.

Moreno worked in the personnel office for at least 10 years before she left Petit Jean Poultry in 2003.

We should also stop the anchor babies sham too! Why should the LEGAL AMERICAN TAXPAYERS pay for the birth of ILLEGALS in OUR COUNTRY?! Then we pay for the housing, the feeding, the education, the health-care, etc., etc. for them. They cross the border ILLEGALLY to have their "AMERICAN" babies and we are STUCK with the BILLS.

Then some damn lying politician tells the LEGAL TAXPAYERS that we are the cruel, hateful, inhumane, tightwads just because we think people should come here LEGALLY (as in not breaking OUR LAWS that we are required to follow)!

Try ignoring any ONE of our laws (pick one, any one) and see how much sympathy you get from the "GOV". It makes me want to start requiring customers to pay in cash so I can stick it in MY BANK ACCOUNT or HOME SAFE like that Morena TYSON chick did and BYPASS all the REQUIRED TAXES too. I wonder if the "GOV" would come to my rescue for BREAKING OUR TAX LAWS? /sarcasm

No, I don't own a "blog". Nice try. I hope Huckabee has someone better at trashing people than you helping with his obvious presidential run.

I noticed that you didn't even try to refute any of the facts of my post.

they don't have the balls to say it, but its because that 18 yr old kid isn't a WASP, is probably a Catholic, and has an S or a Z at the end of their name....

Illegal immigration is wrong and we need to fix it, and the raid Huck gets nailed over he was wrong on. HOWEVER, The children of illegal immigrants HAVE NO CONTROL over what their parents did, and if they were born in the US, no matter what, they are US citizens and are entitled to the rights thereof. End of story.
