Hi folks. Checking in. No panic last night, but filling stations were unusually busy. Stopped in Leesburg, Va. at the PB on Catoctin Circle and 87 Octane was $3.149/gal. It was very busy and I didn't feel like waiting in line so I drove on to Berryville. At the Quarles' Shell station 87 Octane was $2.879/gal. so I topped off the tank. Again, it was busy, but no panic.

I've decided to top off each night on the way home just in case there is a disruption in supply.

The situation in NO has gotten worst than I would have thought. S & R ops suspended due to armed thugs is over the top. It's time to shoot these folks on site.

Folks, this give us a glimpse of what may come our way. Get prepared. Stay prepared. 3-day kit in the car or at the office. Grab-N-Go kit by the front door. MINIMUM 30 day supply of water, food, ammo. Robust first aid kit.

We hunters use RF walkie-talkies to communicate over long distances. They have a range of 3-5 miles (nominal). They will work when the phones/cell phones are down. Get with your neighbors and form civil defense networks.

As another TM poster said, it is safer in groups.

The more I think about it the more I become convinced that in a catastrophic situation it will not be safe to travel. Make plans to stay put if not in immediate danger.

Have the tools, knowledge, skill and will to defend yourself and your families. Think about and set up fire zones. Get to the range and hone your shooting skills. ExSoldier could offer better advise than I.

I'm in a large building with 4 restaurants below so that adds to my supplies.

Be safe folks.
