My local gas station was charging $3.26 per gallon for regular unleaded gas!!!!

You're not alone going through this. Our Costco store was $2.55 a gallon this AM, but I doubt it will be that by tomorrow. Most other gas stations in this area are about 30 cents a gallon more.

Gas in my area is just crazy. I paid $2.82 at 7:30 a.m. this morning. I told my husband that that was the cheapest in our area. He went to the same gas station around 8:30 a.m. this morning and they had raised it to $2.99 in just one hour. He just called me around 10:00 to let me know that he passed the same gas station, and they now had this same regular gas price up to $3.11!!! I saw on Drudge and also on the morning news that the prices in Atlanta, GA were running about $5.87!!

I will be stopping at the local Home Depot today to get a few 5 gallon gas containers to have....just in case this gets worse before it gets better.
