Doing just fine here. ExSoldier got the brunt of it, I'm sure.
Katrina's about 75 miles west of us, but we're getting 30-mph winds in Sarasota. That shows you how powerful that thing is getting.

Hey, I'm on a public library computer doing research on portable power generators and we drove all the way across the state to Fort Meyers! We might have to replace our roof, and there is mold growing on an interior wall, we lost power THURSDAY night, shortly thereafter we lost 80% of the TREES in my area. We were one of the hardest hit as far as power restoration goes, but not flooded, thank the LORD. But wife and pups couldn't handle stifling HEAT inside house (prolly over 100 degrees), so we packed up and headed to a pet friendly motel (BEST WESTERNS ARE GREAT!)on the west coast, a couple hours from Miami. We have friends and family in the BIG EASY, too. Very worried. Ian can somebody post all the info on the stuff they're tracking out in the tropics...the new stuff? Nobody around here wants to mention it. I have to go offline, I'll get back as soon as we get power back in Miami....Everybody is well, despite me having to go outside in the middle of the storm to prevent some stuff from damaging the neighborhood that we forgot to lock down. THAT was fun....
