Reports since have denied a plane was involved.
Good.
In the pre-9/11 world, Bodansky said, jihadists could count on 250,000 individuals trained and willing to die, and 2.5 million5 million people willing to help them in one way or another.
He cited intelligence estimates from this summer that suggest that as many as 500,000-750,000 people are willing and trained to die,
10 million are willing to actively support them, short of killing, while another 50 million are willing to support such a movement financially.

None of the MSM stations are coving this. I find that strange....and a bit unsettling. The thread has reported 15 explosions followed by another 10. A FReeper 60 miles away can see the glow on the horizon, yet the MSM is silent.
Nothing to see here. Move along. Continue to shop....

Local Fox said plant was oil refinery.
The thread on the Romulus explosions has been pulled from Breaking News. What's going on here?
Hope you feel better soon!
Here's a little background on Denver:
Thanks for letting us know so we can add our prayers for him as well Cindy!
Darned right it's an incoherent whiner rant alert. I suppose none of the other millions of Muslims can do anything about stopping or turning in the suicide bombers and decapitators who destroy countless lives worldwide. Haven't seen any shining examples of Muslims turning in rogue Muslims yet! Did I miss the paragraph about this guy's pride in being an American and his love of America in general? I thought not!
Thank you, the article on Denver is interesting.
Thanks for the excellent post.
Those are some pretty serious numbers grizzfan.
Several European maps have shown up on jihadi sites, here's one near the Via Hiroshima in Reggio Emilia, Italy.

America Has Surrendered Its Highways to Al-Qaeda, Consultant Says
The nation's highways are wide open for terrorist attack, according to Terry M. Evans, CEO of Fleet Defender Consulting Services, LLC
(PRWEB) August 9, 2005 -- America's highways are wide open for terrorist attack.
"Given that most terrorist attacks worldwide involve trucks, America is poorly prepared to deal with this likely and impending threat," states CEO Terry M. Evans of Fleet Defender Consulting Services, LLC.
According to CEO Evans, the country has literally surrendered it's highways to terrorists. European allies have long since completed the basics, such has fingerprinting all CDL truck drivers. The Untied States, on the other hand, has done little to protect the country from such an obvious threat.
"The government has justly provided millions to fund the Highway Watch Program, an excellent awareness training program, yet we have no idea who we are actually providing the training to." reports CEO Evans. "We essentially have placed the cart before the horse."
Today, given our lack of even the simplest security screening, it would be incredibly easy for terrorists to gain legal access to tractor trailers and cripple the nation's highways along with our economy. "What measures do we have in place today that would stop a terrorist from obtaining a CDL license?" asks Mr. Evans.
"The reality is that we have little in place to protect ourselves from the inevitable threat of terrorism using trucks," claims CEO Evans. For more information or to lend assistance with this serious threat, visit www.fleetdefender.com.

ALGERIA: POLICE FEAR SALAFITE ATTACKS
Algiers, 8 August (AKI) - Algerian police are on high alert over the threat of an attack by the al-Qaeda aligned militant Salafite Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC) - possibly on the capital, Algiers, itself, the pan-Arab daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported on Monday. The number of GSPC incursions in Algeria have increased recently, especially in provinces to the east of the capital, the paper said.
New military units have been deployed to the area around Boumerdes, 45 kilometres east of Algiers, believed to be the militants' stronghold, where the Algerian army has suffered its worst losses. The newly deployed Algerian troops are especially keen to rout the Dals group, a small formation Algerian intelligence reckons to contain some 30 militants, led and trained by Yhaya Abu al-Haytham. The group is notorious for its rapid and deadly military actions during which the guerrillas split into two smaller more 'agile' groups.
Haytham has been fighting in the area for 10 years. Military experts say he knows the terrain around Boumerdes and the various hiding places intimately. He is very close to Hasan Hattab, the GSPC founder and former leader. So far, 19 militants from the Dals group have been captured and sentenced to death.
Although militant attacks have decreased in Algeria in recent years, and have been sporadic over the past twelve months, they have never entirely ceased. In June, the GSPC claimed responsibility for an attack on a military base in northeastern Mauritania, close to the border with Algeria, in which at least 15 soldiers were killed.
One of the main Algerian Islamist terror groups, the GSPC was founed in 1998 following a split within the other principal Algierian terror group, the Armed Islamic Group (GIA). It is believed to have operated in Italy to have been the subject of several anti-terror investigations.

That is on of the more disturbing postings I have seen in a while.
I'm concerned, as I'm sure we all are, that there is going to be a hit in Italy in the next few weeks. We have a wonderful 16 year old boy working for us this summer (farm work). He's leaving for Italy at the end of the month. He'll be a foreign exchange student for his junior year. He's one of those rare 16 year loads that has a lot on the ball. I'll probably be as worried about him as his parents.
Actually, that's from several months ago. I had just jotted down the address.
