The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

It's hardly a unique fashion statement for a mass transit rider: a Yankees-style cap, and a "New York" sweat shirt.

But the New York Police Department is teaming with British authorities to determine whether those items were worn by suspects in the London terror cases to send a "purposeful message" to the city, according to an NYPD officials.

David Cohen, the NYPD's deputy commissioner of intelligence, raised the concern earlier this week at a security briefing for business leaders at police headquarters in Lower Manhattan.

It may have been the movie Airplane.

I knew of the story and found it interesting when I found it on the Internet.

If you could find it, it told how they fell over sick one by one, then they asked for a pilot and this man was the only one who had any idea what went on in the cockpit.

The story that I read was the man's history and story, with
of course the part about landing the plane.

But he did land it and live to tell about it.

ARTICL SNIPPT: "GRAMMATIKO, Greece — A Cypriot plane crashed into a hill north of Athens (search) on Sunday, killing all 121 people aboard — a third of them children — in Greece's deadliest airline disaster. At least one of the pilots was unconscious when the plane went down, apparently from lack of oxygen.

I don't hear him (or any radio show) very often because reception is very poor where I live (waaaay out in the boonies). I think he's very interesting, smart, a bit cuckoo at times, and not everyone's cup of tea.

I'd listen a bit more if I was able to.

I was listening to him a few years ago when I lived in a larger town (in a town), I guess around summer 2000, when he realized the danger of the "gay" agenda. I actually called him up and got on the show!

BP incidents draw FBI scrutiny

You don’t have to be a conspiracy buff to think the recent spate of
incidents at BP facilities was maybe a little much to comfortably call
coincidence.

The FBI’s not going near that, but did confirm it was conducting what it
called routine investigations of the incidents.

Bureau officials said there was no evidence or indication that any of
the incidents might involve deliberate acts, and that such probes had
become routine since the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

BP’s Texas City oil refinery and a subsidiary’s chemical plant at
Chocolate Bayou have been at the center of six large incidents in the
past 15 months.

Those include explosions in three separate cases, one of which had
mass casualties. They also include a pipe rupture that killed two
workers and severely injured a third, a late night leak of Gasoil that
put a city under a shelter-in-place order and a large explosion and fire
at the Innovene Chemical plant.

Special Agent Al Tribble said the bureau was looking into the incidents
to see if there is a connection. He said the agency was involved not so
much because there appears to be a link or evidence of wrongdoing,
but because of the climate that has existed since the terror attacks of
9/11.

“This is routine — part of the process now,” said Tribble. “We are
typically contacted after such events as a matter of the course of
doing business since 9/11.”

He stressed that there is no evidence to indicate the timing of any of
the recent incidents was anything other than coincidence.

In the hours after the March 23 blasts, it was the FBI and the region’s
Joint Terrorism Task force that ruled terrorism was not a likely cause.
The explosions killed 15 people and injured more than 170 at BP’s
Texas City oil refinery.

A previously unknown Shiite group warned Kuwait Sunday to pull its
troops back to the pre-1991 border or face attacks.

The statement by Islamic Jihad, read by a masked man in a video
obtained Sunday by The Associated Press, came amid criticism by
some Iraqi officials of Kuwaitis trying to encroach on Iraqi land.

"We call them to return to the pre-1991 border otherwise we will
attack border posts, border patrols and carry out attacks inside
Kuwait," said the masked man sitting between two other masked
gunmen. "We will also attack Kuwaiti citizens in Iraq."

In 1993, two years after a US-led coalition drove the Iraqi army out of
Kuwait, a UN border demarcation commission redrew the frontier. The
upshot was that Kuwait received 11 oil wells, some farms and an old
naval base that used to be in Iraq.

No you are very much with the times.

I noticed in the rant at Jill's page, about 1/3rd of it being about the scientists. Its also been formally said that this will baffle them.

I think they are capable of scuba gear and a package.

Yes I noticed that also, It was posted on the 13th i believe giving us a buffer zone of Sept. 13th.

One date i'm rather concerned with is tomorrow. Even though initially the last message towards europe was off by a few days (The 19th?) I still have a bad feeling about the 15th. It's pretty much the middle and if something has been activated we are going to find our shortly.

Take care all I haven't had time for the TM for a few days, major format on my PC and roomates wanting music (grr!) but im back reading. big ping for the 15th I think.(IMO)

Sounds like the airline lost cabin pressure. The same fate the befell Payne Stewart. The windows were frozen over. Hopefully they had all "fallen asleep" prior to the crash and didnt feel any pain or panic.

When an airliner loses cabin pressure, the temperature drops rapidly and there is lack of oxygen...called hypoxia. It is possible, from the comment above where the cousin text messaged a relative saying it is very cold and the pilots are unconscious, that it sounds like that is what happened.

Both pilots and all four passengers, including professional golfer and 1999 U.S. Open winner Payne Stewart, were killed in the crash of a Lear 35 jet near Mina, SD on 25 October 1999. The jet, originally on a flight from Orlando to Dallas, strayed off course over northern Florida and continued flying to the northwest until the fuel apparently ran out.

U.S. Air Force pilots reported that the cockpit windows were obscured by frost. The conditions of the windows are consistent with a loss of pressurization and a subsequent rapid drop of temperature. It is likely that the pilots and occupants may have lost consciousness due to hypoxia, or a lack of oxygen. Between the last communication between the aircraft and air traffic control and the aircraft's final descent, the aircraft was reportedly flying as high as 45,000 feet.

Two people tried to take the controls of the Cypriot Boeing 737
passenger jet before it crashed near Athens on Sunday killing all 121
people on board, a Greek government spokesman said.

Pilots of two Greek air force F16 fighters that were scrambled to
investigate after the doomed aircraft lost contact saw the two people
trying to assume control in the cockpit during the final approach,
Theodore Roussopoulos said.

"They saw two people in the cockpit, we don't know if they were crew
members or passengers, appearing to want to take over the controls,"
he said after a government meeting called to discuss the accident. The
two pilots had initially seen "the co-pilot slumped over and perhaps
unconscious and the pilot not in his seat", he added.

They had also reported that oxygen masks were "activated" in the
cabin, he said.The plane crashed in woodland on a hillside at Varnava,
about 40 kilometres (25 miles) northeast of the Greek capital.
