The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

It's hardly a unique fashion statement for a mass transit rider: a Yankees-style cap, and a "New York" sweat shirt.

But the New York Police Department is teaming with British authorities to determine whether those items were worn by suspects in the London terror cases to send a "purposeful message" to the city, according to an NYPD officials.

David Cohen, the NYPD's deputy commissioner of intelligence, raised the concern earlier this week at a security briefing for business leaders at police headquarters in Lower Manhattan.

We will continue to endure this cr@p until we get tough like the Brits are doing right now by throwing the hate mongers out!! Although deporting them is just setting them free to do their evil deeds from afar.

Has anyone posted on FR about California and Texas now having a minority majority? I think New Mexico was in there as well with Arizona following closely behind. I guess their plan is working. There's no need for AQ to attack these states for they are dealing with huge crime, drugs and drunk drivers everyday. No need for terrorism. It's impossible to turn on the big city news here without becoming disheartened.

A report on the Australian in the latest terror video:

'A number' have turned to al-Qaeda

August 12, 2005

ANY Australian who joined al-Qaeda was taking up arms against their country, Foreign Minister Alexander Downer said today.

His comments follow newspaper reports suggesting a balaclava-clad terrorist in an al-Qaeda video could be former Australian soldier Mathew Stewart.

The video shows a masked man clutching an assault rifle and speaking in what appears to be an Australian accent.

The man warns of further terrorist attacks against the west and boasts about the killing of US troops in Afghanistan.

Mr Downer today said Stewart, a veteran of service in East Timor who went missing in Afghanistan four years ago, was one of a number of Australians with suspected terrorist links......

I've come to the conclusion that if you don't get a tinfoil hat or black helicopter remark every so often you aren't paying attention.

I'm thinking the illegal border crossers are a bigger danger to us than Al Qaeda!!

I hate to even think what this country will look like in another 5 years if we don't stop it!! Gangs, drugs, murder, mayhem. Sort of like Blade Runner the old Harrison Ford movie. Big cities - dark and very dangerous.

I'm going to throw out a major concern I have based on personal observations and reports from those I consider reliable. If this is inappropriate, don't flame me, instruct me.

I've noticed that increasingly small stop and shop gas and grocery stores are operated by those that would be under scrutiny, if profiling were allowed. These stores have virtually nothing on the shelves.

A friend who operates a car rental service has advised that these same people rent cars, one way, to go to Chicago carrying suitcases full of money.This has been reported.

Two concerns come quickly to mind. First, this would appear to be a money laundering operation, with the money flowing to Chicago, which is over a thousand miles from here. Second, with recent reports of fuel trucks, etc., I'm concerned about our vulnerability based on certain types having access to underground tanks containing thousands of gallons of gasoline.

Is there any way your friend can document patterns? This would include frequency of trips, number of persons, names, confirmation that they are indeed "minding the store".

If it's as you describe, it's pretty provocative stuff and deserves some investigation.

Who knows where else this is going on?

Hizbollah, considered by some experts to be the finest light infantry in the world, has a wide network in the U.S. that operates a cigarette smuggling business. These are likely Hizbollah.

They are left alone, because cig smuggling is considered a "soft" crime, since only one state or another gets beat out of some tax money.

So we have several thousand trained warriors here in the states smuggling cigs and raising literally millions of dollars.

If/when these guys decide to strike it won't be a picnic. They're not like the dimwitted sui-bombers or lone nuts like Malvo and co.

They are well trained, well coordinated and well armed.

Oh, most are operating falsely on legal documentation.

In other words, at some point a person (Abdul)migrated legally to the U.S. He had no connection to any terror group and no criminal record.

He gets all the right docs, license, green card, etc.

Then he sort of fades away, to be replaced by someone else going by the same name and using the same documentation.

The new "Abdul' is Hizbollah.

He may even(probably does) work at the same gas station or convenience store selling the same smuggled cigs, but he's a warrior of Allah.

Addendum: If you are in a warm and muggy environment and feel sudden droplets of a mist substance that smells vaguely like flowers and experience the following symptoms:

Tightness of the chest, dim vision and a seriously runny nose, you have been exposed to a nerve agent. If there is an ATROPINE self injector nearby you should immediately self medicate while you have control of your muscle actions.

If not: Sit down in a comfortable position and close your eyes. Death will come quickly. It will be painful, but it will not last long.

Noting the speculation whether or not they are specifying gasoline or propane/natural gas tankers. I would be more concerned about propane/natural gas because they are pressurized and more explosive in content than gasoline. Two phase explosion - first to rupture the tank to allow gas to escape, second to ignite.

Hi WCG! Incredible someone starts a string of fires in Montana, closing the freeway, destroying thousands of acres (and continuing to burn), causing the population of Missoula and surrounding areas to be immersed in thick smoke while the MSM reports only about the attention seeking woman demanding to see the President. Never mind that the cause and impact of these fires (upon nature, people and wildlife) is sinister beyond belief and thousands of people are overwhelmed by the the fear of losing their homes and the acrid odor of smoke!
