Electronic Arts announced today that it will be holding an event to showcase Madden NFL Football 06 to Fla. Gov. Jeb Bush.
Gov. Bush will appear to show his support of a "Made in Florida" product and he will be meeting the developers of the title and will get some hands-on time with the final product. The Governor will also be given a Madden NFL 06 football and will be treated to a video created by the EA team just for his visit.
Gov. Bush will also be meeting with Steve Chiang, co-founder of Tiburon and Vice President and Studio General Manager, EA-Tiburon, where Chiang will give an outline of EA-Tiburon's past, present and future.
The event will take place Monday, August 8 from 2-3 p.m. at the EA-Tiburon studios in Orlando, Fla.

From what I've read of the coverage of the new Madden game, one of the new things they've implimented is a "cone of view" for the quarterback. Looks like it's going to make the gameplay more difficult than it need be. Although I hope I'm wrong.
Well, football-wise they've solely acquired the NFL license, which means the only NFL game coming out this year is an EA game as opposed to the last couple years when they had some competition from Sega Sports.
I think this exclusive deal biz is going to hurt sports games in the long run. Too bad, even though I only dabble in them.
