From the sound it would clearly seem to be a helicopter gunship but and can't destine if It a Marine Sea Cobra or Army Apache... sounds like both mini guns and chain guns

The gunship the U.S. uses is the AC-130 but this appears to be from an AH-64 Apache.

Way cool. Love the Ripping sound of the chain gun at the beginning if each attack.

Do A-10s work at night? Might it have been one of them?

The fire from the air was definitely from a rotary winged aircraft. If it was Mosul it was probably Army, and therefore probably either an AH-64 or OH-58. I'm not too sure about the ground fire, but I would guess 25mm fire from a Bradley. But this video gives some idea of why some types of fighting (like Close Air Support) is now easier at night than it is in day. Laser markers and spotlights work wonders to pinpoint a target, and picking out targets from natural backgrounds is much easier using Infra-red than your eyeballs.

Interesting. I wonder if they could develop some AI binoculors to aid soldiers in picking out dyatime targets.

Curious, the minigun at around 20 seconds into it seems to be different than what I hear at 43 seconds. The latter sounds like it has a higher rate of fire. Maybe it's just the accoustics. Definately wouldn't want to be on the receiving of any of it!.
