December 9, 2002: Former President George H.W. Bush, examines a model of CVN 77, the U.S. Navy's 10th Nimitz-class aircraft carrier officially named in his honor at a ceremony held in the Pentagon. Jones, Commandant of the U. S. Marine Corps. The keel of the GHW Bush has been laid and construction is on-going. Christening is scheduled for March 2006.
