The Academy gets it wrong more often then it gets it right when it comes to awarding Oscars. Around the World was an entertaining travelogue, nothing more. Cary Grant never won an Oscar, yet at the end of the 20th Century, he was named the #2 greatest film actor of all time by the American Film Institute.

Bogart was #1 and Stewart was #3; if it was up to me, James Stewart would have been #1. When you think of the incredible depth and breath of Stewarts' work, from Destry, to Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, to Philadelphia Story, to It's a Wonderful Life, to Harvey, to Winchester 73 and his other great westerns, to Vertigo and Rear Window, no other actor played such a wide range of roles and movie genres so superbly and so convincingly.

Harvey and Rear Window are 2 of my all time favourite films along with Hitchcock's Marnie
