LOL! Good night, hoosier. I'm turning in myself.

Hope all our conservative voices stay on this hard until this woman and her lies are defeated.

***At that time Gen. Douglas MacArthur's book had come out.
Admire him and did a report, wooo, major notes all over
the report on was a terrible person he was , etc. ***

WOW! That's really disgusting. A book report should be YOUR opinion, not the teacher's.

But no picture of W.***

No pix of W???? Down at the dealers, they're probably still laughing at the "dumb broad" who bought that car. LOL

Thanks for this great post Wolfstar. I love the pictures of the President with troops. Did you notice there were a lot to choose from? It says something about the president's character. I'm glad he goes out of his way to thank the troops, it is a good example for all of us.

I don't think this pic was posted of Rummy:

Rumsfeld visits the CSI set to thank Sinise personally for his support of the "America Supports You" program through his "Operation Iraqi Children" effort.

Just sent the 2004 article on Cindy Sheehan on to Charlie Sykes, from Milwaukee's WTMJ. Hopefully he'll mention this on his radio show and on his website. I know he is aware of Code Pink and their evil tactics.

Yes, the nervous chatterbox the writer made that female character in Red River was a detriment to the film. A more creative way for the two men to come to terms on their own would have been better.

I agree. If the female character had been more important to the story (and if that character wasn't as hyper), then maybe the ending could've worked. But it wasn't all her fault.

Howard Hawks couldn't provide good roles (or good dialogue) for women. Red River is a great example. At the beginning of the movie there was another female character--Wayne's love interest. She was almost as annoying as the one that ruined the ending! Later, in the "Rio" Westerns that reunited Hawks with Wayne, he left out the women almost completely.

[Maureen O'Hara] was always classy and feminine, she gave the Duke all he could handle and more.

I think I read that she was Wayne's favorite actress, too--he enjoyed working with her more than anyone else.

Did you notice there were a lot to choose from?

Yes, and those were a selection from just the first two years of his presidency. There are literally hundreds of comparable photos over the past five years. I deliberately too the first two years to show that his love affair with the military goes back before 9/11/01, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Yes, I've heard that, too. Maureen O'Hara was Duke's favorite actress. I've seen some of her earliest films on the cable stations that show old films. She was a real beauty in her youth. She had a wonderful singing voice, although the studios didn't use her in musicals.

Factoids: John Wayne was 13 years older than her. And Maureen O'Hara was truly Irish. She was born in Dublin, Ireland.

Rent or buy Conagher (Sam Elliott) or Hondo (coming out in DVD soon, John Wayne) or The Quick and the Dead (Sam Elliott, not the other one).

There you have women in the West done well by Louis L'Amour, author of the books they were made from.

The writers were often at fault when all they could think of for a woman to do was scream hysterically or chatter nervously.
