To: Frank Sheed
Karen concurred: I would say that the Holy Spirit decided that this world needed the story of someone fighting for a little human lifeAmen Karen, amen

It does sound like the Holy Spirit intervened. Thank you for posting this account of what transpired with this family.

What a fascinating account! I've heard of this occuring way back when. Of course, this has just been posted, so the skeptics haven't arrived yet.
No one in the MSM will come see this baby. This baby's birth refutes all the lies about late term abortion. Prayers and hugs for the family...

Yes it is. And remember this well, God touches those who are ready when the time is right for them to receive him. It can be at birth, inbetween or moments before the death of an elderly person.

I am very familiar with this Saint. What made me say "Whoa" when I read this is very personal. A young cousin of mine just gave birth to a preemie of almost the same weight as young Susan Catherine Torres. This is a very, very early delivery and I pray that both babies will do well. They will be in NICU a long time. The amazing thing is that my young cousin had a very difficult pregnancy and almost died of eclampsia herself. So, this really has hit home in many ways. The stories are now inextricably linked in my mind.

He also challenged those who have callously spoken out against Jasons decision to keep his wife alive, to come to see the newborn baby.I think it's wonderful that the baby has been born and is (apparently) healthy. I do have a problem with the fact that pretty much as soon as the baby was born, the plug was pulled on the mother's life support. Why? And as I've said on another thread, where were all the Terri Schiavo media hogs? Why is Susan Flores' life worth less of a fight than Terri Schiavo's?

Uh cause, wasn't she pronounced brain dead due to the severe cancer.
