Petition to the President: Secure Our Borders Immediately

Mr. President, Please Secure Our Borders Immediately

It has been nearly four years since the 9/11 attacks inside our country by foreign nationals. Yet, tens of thousands of foreign nationals every few weeks continue to be allowed to enter this country illegally through our loosely guarded borders. All of these illegal entrants threaten American citizens in one way or another—either as unfair labor competition, tax burdens, instruments of organized crime including drug running and slavery, or as terrorists.

We can no longer allow such disorder on our borders. One of the clearest responsibilities of the federal government and of the President is to protect this country's citizens from attacks across our borders.

We urge you to direct your officials in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to create and institute plans to ensure that foreign nationals who attempt to cross our borders without permission will be (a) detected, (b) apprehended and (c) either removed from this country or detained for appropriate punishment under the law.

While your Administration is implementing long-term sustainable programs to achieve border security, we urge emergency measures that begin to provide the same protection immediately by mobilizing some combination, as necessary, of Border Patrol, other DHS personnel, the military, other federal personnel and technological tools. Various pilot programs at selected locations have proven that zero tolerance of illegal human traffic across our borders is achievable if the federal government places a priority on protecting its citizens. We submit our names with the appreciation of your consideration and action.

As far as I know, Arkansas is not in a recession. Currently the outrage of American's on illegal immigration has nothing to do with the economy (as evidenced by our good economy), the outrage is due to one country taking over another. Canada is not sending millions upon millions of illegal immigrants, Mexico is.

Immigration to America should be a privalege given to many countries around the world, each should have equal access to become American is this is their dream, legally of course. It is not the same as 150 years ago when a boatload of Irish could come over and expect to become Americans. They can't, Mexico can't, no one can. One must come legally and be found to be free of disease and free of a criminal background.

Either I didn't explain it to well enough or you do not comprehend.

Are you acquainted with the public opposition to the Irish immigration?

Those who came to America at that time also went through Ellis Island. If they were deemed to be sick, they were quarantined. We have none of those protection now.

Secondly, I have no difficulty singling our Mexicans as well as the others from south of the border. They are, by far, the bulk of the problem. They burden our health system, they raise our insurance rates because they carry none. They are a primary source of gang related and drug related crime. You go to the public hospitals on Friday and Saturday night, the emergency rooms are choked with them, injured in fights many of the gun or knife related. They are a blight on our neighborhoods, they refuse to acculturate. They sneer at our flag and refuse to learn our language.

I want them out!

People might get more involved after several of those nukes coming over the southern border wind up taking out some of our largest cities.

Very nice pictures. I also have a picture of the USS Reagan framed on my office wall. Not quite as good as this one, however:

The Ronald Reagan is a ship that properly honors his name, who strove so hard to guide us away from the rocks of Socialism...foreign and domestic, and will go into harms way bravely.
