What will turn the tide of PCness? A victory for Indian-named sports teams? It would be a step in the right direction.

Hopefully this case will lead to the dismantling of the NCAA organization, which has used as a tool of the Left for decades.

Does Troy still exist? My USC Trojans can't be forced to give up a mascot from 2,500 years ago, can they? What next, the USC Helens? That'll strike fear into the hearts of the bRuins and Domers, for sure!

I seem to remember that the UMass teams used to be called the "Redmen" back when I was at UNH ('60s). They were among the first to jump on the PC bandwagon (big surprise there, eh?) and have been the "Minutemen" for decades.

What really should happen is Syracuse and
Stanford ought to go back to their original names.

There are newspapers that will not accept apartment ad descriptions that include:
Walk-ups...discriminates against the handicap
master bedroom...too hegemonic
Ocean view (or any other view)..discriminates against the blind
You also cannot have walk-in closets, dumbwaiters, or family rooms. My alma mater Indiana State gave up its Indians several years ago when it was discovered that there weren't any Sycamore Indians...Go Trees!

In other news:
PETA is protesting the use of animals as college mascots. In particular, the Oregon Duck holds water fowl up to ridicule. In Arizona, the United Wiccans are protesting the nickname "Sun Devils" and in California, Greek-Americans picket USC, saying the "Trojans" is a hurtful belittling of their heritage.
And so on for ever. The world is going to hell in a handcart and we are obsessed with trivia.

Good for them! The Seminole tribe supports their nickname. Someone at the NCAA went insane about political correctness, and they're going to catch a lot of heat about this.

My high school was a victim of this PC crap. I graduated an Indian. Now everyone graduates as a Bengal.

The Seminoles ought to replace their regular jerseys with ones that say "NCAA Sucks" during the playoffs. But then, it would be hard to tell them apart when they play the Braves, Aztecs, and Illini. Maybe they can change their name to the "NCAA Pantywaists".

If the Indians don't care, why does a group of white guys? Unbelievable.

Good, I hope Florida State burns them to the ground. Every other college on the NCAA's hit list should join the fight. I know the University of Utah is looking at their legal options right now.

Why go to the bother of suing? A better idea would be to disband the NCAA. If enough colleges and universities told the NCAA to commit a biologically impossible act, we wouldn't have any more of this PC garbage, at least at the collegiate sports level.

Oklahoma means land of red people? Indiana is land of the Indians? Which is where the NCAA is located..and their headquarters are in Indianapolis? city of Indians?
RUSH is just pointing this out on his program...awesome.
