Corzine and the woman, communication workers head Carla Katz, once made beautiful music together, but are now only making headlines after it was reported that Corzine forgave a $475,000 loan he gave her so she could buy her ex-husband's share of a Hunterdon County home.

Right, Golan Cipel and McGreevey when the lovebirds met in Israel.
After the "prom" Golan Cipel, ex-Gov McGreevey's love bug was installed as the state's $110,000 Homeland Security director, then Golan could not get security clearance b/c he was an Israeli.
I wonder if Corzine's hot pastrami Carla is an American? If not, no problem. Corzine might give her a state job. But will Carla be up for those late nights at the governor's manse----Drumthwacket, getting thwacked by Jon? (poster laughs uproariously).
Ask not for whom the drum thwacks.
LOL......good one.
Twist on man bites dog story. The corrupt union leader usually bribes the corrupt polititian.
Not in Jersey!!!This is SOP.
Is this legitimate news anymore?
Certainly does not even approach the level of hysteria the Rove non-scandal as a news item that the MSM was all a twitter about
< / sarcasm >
Billionaires don't live like the rest of us.
Just goes to show you how dumb the electorate is in New Jersey, they keep voting these jerks into power.
I wonder when he forgave the $475,000 loan. Suppose he filed a gift tax return?
Surely a big-time taxer like Corine would comply with all the reporting requirements.
Is this Clinton again? Wait a minute...?
ZZZZZZZZ. CorZZZZZZZine. Hmmmmm. My Z don't work good.
I assume this story will be on the front page of the New York Times for the next four weeks.
No? It'll get two paragraphs in the food section, you say. Okay, as long as it doesn't bump the tea and scones recipes from the page.
that's exactly (more or less) where it was yesterday, and not one mention on their website
Wouldn't she be the one to file a gift tax return? And what I heard is that she did not.
Not to worry, this will only endear Corzine more to the Jersey voters. He'll win by a landslide. If it gets too hot and heavy, the NJ Dem machine will pull a Torch on him and substitute someone else a la the Laut. There's no way they're going to lose this office to a Republican, even if they have to lie, cheat and steal to keep it (SOP in NJ).
Let's see if the MSM latches on to this unethical conduct with vise-like jaws as they did with Delay. Or if Senate Dems cry out long and hard for there to be an ethics investigation or for Corzine to resign.
No, the donor has to file the gift tax return if the amount of the annual gifts to any donee exceeds the annual exclusion of $11,000.
You're right, of course, but that shouldn't keep Hannity, Rush, et al, from creating an unbearable sense of national shame upon Jerseyites for their chronic affinity for Democrat slime.
Negative reinforcement can change voting behavior, over time. Look at the Plains and Mid-South blue states gone red over the past 10 years.
Why even call it a gift? Why not payment for services rendered?
Because then she would owe income tax on the amount, and then Corzine would have to give her the money so she could pay the tax. Then that money would be subject to taxes.
(And perhaps she would be in violation of some New Jersey law, if prostitution is illegal there.) But then, if he is elected governor, he could pardon her.
My understanding is that he did file a Gift Tax return on this, and paid an additional $150K+ in taxes.
Why didn't I ever have a boyfriend like him?
"Corrupt Democrat involved with money, sex, unions and gambling running for higher office."
"Vote for Corzine and get 4 more years of the same."
This should be Forresters campaign message.
