Another idea would be to enter the offending employers in a pool that shared the costs of supporting illegals (hospitals, schools, crime, lost taxes, etc.). This pool would have to pay for that year's cost burden (I've seen estimates of $3,500 per illegal per year).
In this manner, the early birds would be under great pressure to rat out their friends, increasing the number of offenders in the pool -- thus reducing the burden they would have to pay themselves.
Over time this burden would drop as population estimates of illegals dropped and the pool enlarged.

God bless you Tom Delay. I can't tell you what a relief it is to see at least ONE major US politician speak like a true American patriot on this issue. Let's face it, Tancredo is a marginal player. Delay is one of the most powerful men in Washington.

I strongly disagree- it's only going to get bigger. Every time an American realizes for the first time how many Mexican kids he's paying to educate, the issue grows. And there are constantly more Mexicans here so the issue will just get bigger.
I think this is pretty clear to most.

You must either have a better mind than I or you deal in very large quantities of something in your daily life.
To me and most people it's very difficult to appreciate the difference between 5 million, 9 million, 15 million 0r 50 million. That's why national budget, deficit and debt figures are meaningless to most of us.
People will base decisions on personal experiences. If someones' girlfriend dumped him for a macho Latino he will vote for Tancredo, but the difference between 13 million and 20 million illegals won't be the straw that makes "a whole lot MORE upset, angry American's."
Most of these illegals never had running water or flush toilets in Mexico so living in a tent and getting water from a truck and using sanicans will be step up for most of them
Of course the sanicans will be trashed in a day or two and the tents will need replacing every month or so. Put them to work making adobe bricks to build themselves a semi-permanent abode.
Sheriff Arpaio (sp) can show them how it's done. Bologna sandwichs, no smokes or coffee, pink underwear, etc.
