Round them up? In Texas we aren't allowed to even ask people if they are citizens before they register to vote. Same thing here in Cal, and many other places.
It's absolutely ridicules. Actually it's more like national suicide.

How about bussing them? Immediately. To the border. Dump them there.
Housing costs: zero. I agree. I said this on other threads nearly 2 months ago, citing the fact that 1000's of school buses would be sitting idle for 2+ months.
They should have been put to use.

Not me. I quit giving or donating to anyone until I see big changes. Not a penny until then.

I don't think our law will reign supreme of the CAFTA's wording. Why put this clause in the agreement if it is useless? I am not nearly as trusting of our government as you are.
There will be a tribunal that is for sure. And how could it be fair for other countries to have to go through the tribuna, and not the USA?
Our court system is too screwed for words. Ginsberg is alway longing for European law in the American courts. She is getting pretty close to having it with these agreements.

That is probably the worse, most self-damaging law we have. That law makes liars of all politicians who claim to have a plan to put a halt to illegal immigration. How can they think the American people are so stupid as not to know this?

I am not nearly as trusting of our government as you are. Government as an entity in our nation can be trusted for it was concieved as a government for the people, by the people,....
It's when the people willingly opt for shysters for elective office (for whatever reason) is when distance is increased from the Constitutional bedrock thus making it less effective as a platform for our way of life.

"
House Majority Leader Tom DeLay urged Texas police Thursday night to begin rounding up illegal immigrants, and said he backed legislation that would cut off federal funds to cities that don't enforce U.S. immigration laws."
WOW - BIGGEST STORY OF THE WEEK! Good news for a change. In fact, WONDERFUL news.

IT'S ABOUT TIME DeLAY DID SOMETHING TO DIVERT ATTENTION FROM HIS LEGAL PROBLEMS!
(No, I'm not being sarcastic or turning DU'er either. I'm saying if it takes trumped up charges by Dims to goad a Republican lawmaker off his butt, then we'll take 'em any way we can get 'em!)

Pity.... his party will call him a moonbat.. while hanging from their feet in the cloakroom, squeeking like moonbats themselves... The party?
I think not.
Let's see name's within the party for that is where substantiation in your statement can be gained.

WOW - BIGGEST STORY OF THE WEEK! Good news for a change. In fact, WONDERFUL news. Even better news would be the likes of DeLay stating support for the citizens achieving results via taking matters in their own hands by taking up the slack for the governments deficiencies with respect to our border concerns.
After all, they work for us, it's not us working for them.
Right?

OK I don't trust anybody from the Presidency down. They have showed their true colors by breaking the laws on illegal immigration, as well as passing a treasonous piece of trash that will end our sovereignty as a free nation, namely CAFTA.
NAFTA brought the illegals here and promoted a redistribution of middle class wealth to the world, while CAFTA will keep the illegals here and make them citizens. And FTTA will drive the final nail if the coffin known as America. Our elected people in our "government" can't wait to vote for FTAA.

IT'S ABOUT TIME DeLAY DID SOMETHING TO DIVERT ATTENTION FROM HIS LEGAL PROBLEMS! You mean to say: "It's about time DeLay did something to thwart the political shenanigans of the DNC which made an issue (again) out of a non issue?

They have showed their true colors by breaking the laws on illegal immigration, as well as passing a treasonous piece of trash that will end our sovereignty as a free nation, namely CAFTA. The administration has shown it's true colors by promoting a strategy of creating an atmosphere which entices illegals and legals to stay home and prosper.
After all, the issue of immigration has been an issue for a time long before Dubya' was POTUS or even Governor. It is now a MSM discussion because finally we have a POTUS who has a political agenda via CAFTA to turn the tide away from illegal immigration from the South, strategically.

I trusted Bush and the Republicans until Bush stood up and invited the whole of Mexico to come to this country to take jobs away from Americans - and the Republicans were too weaselly to challenge him on it. (A few did - but they have suffered from it) The grief I feel at that betrayal is overwhelming.
We're at a point in American politics where treasonous treaties and destructive ideas rule every aspect of American lives. There is no way out for us, as we are surrounded by corrupt politicians who don't care about America.
