My prediction: A failure to ban human cloning will result in a new "stealth" slavery that will be more contentious than the original slavery. Clone slaves will not only serve as body doubles or "multipliers" but also will be used for organ harvesting. There are no debates about this - either one is completely opposed to slavery in all its forms or one is not. There is no middle ground on this issue.

They made a bad movie with a great plot about this -- "Parts: The Clonus Horror." (It has a 2 rating on IMDB and was used in an MST3K episode).

I have said many times that if a good producer were to remake (from scratch) this movie it would do well -- because it is starting to look plausible.

Sounds similar to the recently released movie, The Island.

We wouldn't need to use full human clones for organ harvesting when we can just clone the organ itself.

Why on earth would it lead to any such thing? Human cloning has occurred in nature for as long as humans have existed without this result coming to pass.
