Wasn't an Ak-47. It was an AKSU-74.

The video is another Al Qaeda message apparently intended to turn Western democracies against their leaders by explaining acts of terrorism as rational decisions from a group with specific political goals.
Why of course! Its so simple! All we have to do is turn control of our foreign policy over to a bunch of terrorists and All Will Be Right in the World! < / Barfing sarcasm>
Uh
what if two or more terrorist groups have conflicting demands?

"Rather than casting his jihad as an inevitable clash of civilizations,"
So, this means his past casting of such is forgotten?
Reminds me after 9/11. At first Osama tried to frame the attacks as about Iraq, Palestine and Saudi, reflecting what the root causers wanted to hear (though the Saudi complaint was new to them). Later videos, and translations from the Arabic, expressed his greater views and laundry list of complaint.
Zawahiri's statement is a reaction to the BBC/CNN he watches.

stop stealing our oil and resources
Last I heard, we are stealing oil at $60/barrel. What a steal!

Did anyone else notice, it wasn't an AK-47 behind the terrorist roach, it was a AK-74 -- with a missing pistol grip. So it looks like their guns are broke, their ideology is kaput and the flapping bed sheet in front of the cave sure didn't look like the cave was very comfy.
I was scared, weren't you?

Dear Leftist Wacko Pro terrorist Propagandists,
Please explain what the logic for 9-11 was then?
In the last two decade, how many Muslims have American and British troops stepped in to protect for oppression, rape and murder?
How many have Al Qeda and the Pro Terrorist "News Media" protected?
Better go read Bin Laden's "Fatwa" pro Terrorist Propagandists in the Dinosaur media. Cause your propaganda line does have even a nodding acquaintance with reality. Link below http://www.ict.org.il/articles/fatwah.htm

"more American troops will be killed in Iraq if there isn't an immediate withdrawal."
These rats are playing to the press by saying this is all about Iraq and Afghanistan, but that doesn't explain 9-11. They're lucky the public and the MSM have all but forgotten about it.

I'm beginning to think that Bin Laden is dead. Have we ever seen a conclusive piece of footage of him that speaks about a recent event?
Secondly, it's pretty clear to me that the Pakistani know where these people are.

Interesting how you can take the words "Al Qaeda" out of this sentence and replace them with "Ted Kennedy", "Michael Moore", or any of a number of Americans who ally themselves with the enemy.

Ummmm, the war on terror began on 9/11, when Islamists killed 3,000 of us. Muslim terrorists cannot claim we started the aggression, really. Silly terrorists.

"There will be no salvation until you withdraw from our land, stop stealing our oil and resources and end support for infidel [Arab] rulers." If we leave them alone and stop "stealing" their oil, they'll all be dead within months either through starvation or infighting over who know how to please Allah the bestest.
They can't operate successful societies with drug-lord money to buy everything created in the countries living in the 21st century, so what would happen if they were broke?
Maybe this holdover from the seventh century is on to something, after all.
