Leftist Group "America Coming Together" Coming Apart

The pro-Democratic 527 group America Coming Together (ACT)--which at its peak last year had nearly 80 field offices in a dozen swing states and 6,000 paid political volunteers--is essentially shutting down. the group's largest donor was billionaire George Soros, who poured nearly $20 million into ACT last year. ACT is going into a state of hibernation, cutting back to only a few staffers and with no set future plans.

No, on that note, don't be surprised to see another nefarious group reform from this rubble with Soros' coin in the background. The organization served its purpose, it is off the radar and insignifant at the moment. As soon as the '08 primary season starts, they will be back. This is far from over, and there are still an ample supply of mushheads to man the phones...

What a shame. All those jobs lost. Who will employ these people? America Coming Together was keeping a lot of people off the streets. Plus, every time I heard the name of the group I had a mental vision of extremely well coordinated patriotic orgies.

Well, I guess I'll be the only one that recognizes that they did serve a good cause and 62 million Americans Came Together and won.
