A day in the life of President Bush (8/4/05): photos

President George W Bush welcomes Colombia's President Alvaro Uribe to his ranch in Texas, they went for a drive, held a private meeting, and then held a joint press conference. After lunch they spent the afternoon discussing regional security and diplomatic issues.

Further background can be found at President Alvaro visits Crawford

Vice President Dick Cheney is leading a delegation to Saudi Arabia to pay respects to King Fahd (no photos or report to be found almost as if there is a media black out on this). This is strange in 2 respects one no photos and that all reports seem to indicate that all other countries sent people the previous day to the Memorial Service.

Yesterday Secretary of State paid her respects to the late Saudi King Fahd by signing the Book of Condolence in the Saudi Arabian embassy in Washington.

New U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton in his Security Council debut, pressed Syria and Iran to do more to stem the flow of terrorists, arms and funding into neighboring Iraq

Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

She lost weight some time back and has a personal trainer but to me she does not look as if she has lost any more recently maybe a bit more toned facially.

Thanks, Mike.

It was a little over a year ago that I landed in the Hospital, so I'm thankful that I'm so healthy this year. Frankly, after last year, I'm thankful to just BE here!

Snugs comment: Interesting you do not often see the VP touch someone here he is linking his arm with King Abdullah Middle East protocol?

There is one on that thread that is larger. Someone - and I don't remember who - enlarged it and posted it back on the thread.

It was large enough so that I was going to go back and find it again to make it my screensaver.

I love her hair style. She was wearing a flip for awhile, which was "cute", but I like her more sophisticated look. She looks very elegant. It's more fitting for her.
