Natalee's Mom To Turn Up The Heat

Beth Twitty has returned to Aruba determined to turn up the heat on island authorities investigating the disappearance of her daughter.

The Alabama teen has been missing on the island more than two months.

Twitty says she wishes she could talk with Natalee: "She knows my message, that we are doing everything we possibly can, and we are determined to stay with this and to keep the pressure on."

But Twitty has set a tentative date to leave Aruba again, September 4th, the day suspect Joran van der Sloot could be released if authorities fail to make their case.

Twitty says, "The clock is also ticking for Natalee Holloway to be found and right now, I'm looking at … September 4th, and that's all I can think about right now."

The 17-year-old van der Sloot is the only suspect still being held in connection with Natalee's disappearance.

He continues to face daily interrogations, but his lawyer, Antonio Carlo, asserts he should ultimately be set free.

"Our client is maintaining his innocence and there is no basis to bring this matter to court," Carlo says.

Twitty says she also believes two Surinese brothers, who were detained and then released, but may still be suspects, know more than they're telling investigators.

The brothers, Deepak Kalpoe, 21, and Satish Kalpoe, 18, along with van der Sloot, were the last people seen in public with Natalee, 18, before she vanished in the early hours of May 30 on the final night of a high school graduation trip to the island.

But their attorneys say they're not ducking the truth.

Says David Kock, Satish Kalpoe's lawyer, "Nobody wants for the case to go away. …People want this case to be solved."

No one, Kirsch points out, more than Holloway's family.

Her uncle, Paul Reynolds, was adamant: "No there is no end. …We are cycling back and forth…jobs and families. …We're not going to leave.

A few days ago, Jug Twitty, answered that Natalee went to Aruba to 'have a good time'. Evidently hooking up with a tall good looking boy was part of the good time. My guess is that she was flattered by the attention of Juron and alcohol lowered her inhibitions.

That's what I believe as well. It's really that simple.

These demands by Beth. I find it bordering on the absurd.

I have to say ; Natalee's friends are greatly to blame in this situation. Air head girls ! They left their friend Natalee to fend for herself, they flaked out on her , they didn't stick with her as good friends should have , covering for each other , making sure each was present and all going 'home' together .
Natalee probably has paid with her life for her friends neglect and her own bad judgment . Pre-20's in a foreign land , getting drunk on their little butts and thinking they are in control . Girls gone wild? fools...
Now these girls are being interviewed on TV and one can just see their nervous guilt. If they hadn't been whacked on booze they would have been more attentive to their friend . Their friend who is not gone. I hope they realize what they've done ...

Eighteen-year-old girls ARE airheads, sorry. (I mean, I sure was at that age). Kids that age just don't have the life experience to make consistently good decisions. It probably looked like a little innocent fun, on a deceptively pretty (but putrid) island. I think Beth is the best -- a mom fighting for her daughter. And she probably does know more about the case. She has a lot invested. You don't want to mess with a mother bear protecting her cubs. I'm glad Greta is keeping the heat on the Aruban government, too. Those slimeballs.

I agree , Beth Holloway-Twitty is awesome . Very tenacious and yet displaying alot of reserve so as not to jeopardize the case or investigation in any way .One can only imagine what her thoughts and comments in private might be! However her big mistake , and the mistake of all loving parents that allow their young adult offspring to go off on party jaunts like this , was to encourage them or let them go in the first place. Drinking , maybe drugs , and gambling at a 18 ? Fresh out of a cloistered Alabamie high school? What were they thinking? To an island off the coast of Venezuela and Columbia!? What were they thinking ? A holiday to the shark infested Florida shore would have been considerably safer.
I think there is a massive cover-up going on in Aruba that goes to the highest levels of government there . A complete US boycott of that fleabag island until this is resolved is most appropriate.

Injin, I agree. Massive coverup going on in Aruba, to the highest levels in govt. The more it is exposed to the world, the better for us all. And it was a huge mistake to let the kids go to Aruba. What a drug/sex pit of the worst sort. But I have one question -- Aren't you going to have to change your name to a more PC one?? NativeAmerican, perhaps, or Indigenous? the NCAA could get you.
